Hope to see some OFNers out for these come say hi if you do. :Gonefishing:

  2. Ryan, since I haven't thought of anything better I decided to just contribute 10% of the proceeds from my recent Classified sales to your cause. I can't think of a more popular cause to contribute to. My own family has been touched by cancer so many times, and from the posts here onviously a lot of OFC members have been affected as well, so why not keep the circle happening and give back to an OFNer's fundraiser with money raised through OFC services?

Thanks to Misfish and the others who purchased items.

  3. Well I'm very happy with my tiller. And something else that some of you might want to verify. I never, at any speed have trouble seeing over the bow. You might want to check your trim settings. Just sayin'.....

In my 14' tinner the motor was a manual trim and it didn't matter were I put it I had a hard time seeing over the bow while coming up on plane or slow speeds tried everything even spacers my buddy made wouldn't do it.I put a hydrofoil on it and that helped a lot but still had some issues, power trim it's not a issue at all.

  4. I would agree.......BUT I have a feeling the OP is more interested in occasional use of a electric trolling motor than have his foot on it all day like a tournament bass fishermen......so I would recommend a 40-50 pound thrust via a 12 volt system (group 27 battery).....I have a similar set up and it works great without ever running low on battery power....but I do have a good on-board charging system that I plug into every time the boat is not fishing.

40lb will barely move that boat I had a 12v 40lb PD on my 14' tinner and if the wind picked up even slightly it was way under powered made it very difficult to control the boat always better to have to much than not enough .what your suggesting(55lb) will work fine on calm days though.I wouldn't even try a 40lb

  5. As a Jedi you must learn to think more positively.

In a couple of weeks the ice will be gone and the Crappie and other pan-fish will be in the shallows.

In mid-May Pike will open, in early June Musky season will start, then at the end of the month you can target Bass. In the mean time quickly release any incidental Bass you hook by accident.

I will be pike fishing on april 2nd open year round on erie can't wait to break these puppies in.

  6. I wouldn't worry about putting a 1 peice rod in a car if you have fold down seats it's real easy to put them in and out of the car if not get a rod sleeve like the rod glove to protect your tip's, 1 peice feel way better than 2 IMO.I would also consider going with a MH fast action rod rather that the Mediums I really don't think anything lighter is needed for bass fishing unless your using less than 8lb test line. I run 20lb braid with a 8lb flouro leader on a 7'MH fast action for smallies drop shotting and never have a problem I also hauled LMB out of the weeds all day long on the same set up one day last year, prolly 20 bass without 1 break off. it's all personal preference but I think the lighter action rods aren't needed for bass fishing but thats just my opinion.

  7. SRT8,

There is no guarantee a sound sleeper like yourself will wake up in time but at least your wife did and saved your life....most deaths from a house fires are a result of the toxic fumes from the fire, not the flames.

The more WORKING smoke alarms present in a home the better chance you have of waking up....I have 5 smoke detectors and 2 CO detectors in my 3 bedroom ranch.

As someone else already mentioned, smoke detectors are priced very reasonably and so are CO detectors.

Don't get me wrong Billy I agree smoke detectors save lives.
