  1. Only problem with 5 gallon pains is they sink when you take off and the boat is sluggish until you BLAST OFF and then remember that they were still tied off :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: YES three walll bangs because I know dad and I did this at least 3 times in the past.

at least it wasn't a giant danforth anchor I saw a guy on plane in a 24' cruiser with a anchor skippin across the water behind him it almost hit the stern of the boat a few times before I flagged him down .I've used the white bucket drift socks to .

  2. Firing up that motor would be an easy way to wake him up lol. Sounds like a great day, kids are awesome.

Trust me after 2.5 hours of fishing with a 3 year old nap time is a nice break last thing I want to do is wake him up LOL now I have to thaw out the perch and clean them not a big fan of that part.

  3. Well my son Kaleb had his first soccer game/practice, the U4 league is just for fun .After soccer we loaded up the boat and he was very happy to go fishing ,we didn't catch any real big ones this time couple 11-12" perch most were 8-9" which I would rather eat over the 13-14+ jumbo's.Kaleb did really good with his hand me down rod that I gave him and reeled in a half dozen fish on his own and Mom and Dad ended up coming home with 25 perch and 3 silver bass for supper tomorrow night .Catchin all those perch really tired Kaleb out and I found the perfect spot for him to nap really glad I have this casting deck/rear seats.

I'll be staying there the first week of August. Never really fished that area before. Would appreciate any fishing related info. I'm into all kinds of fishing: bass, walleye, pike, or even steelhead and salmon if I have to troll the Great Lake using downriggers!

you will be bass and pike fishing the offshore fishing around LPB is only OK and I only ever hear of locals and guides catching anything the walleye don't show up like they used to and the steelhead don't stick around not sure why :dunno: the bass and pike are everywhere LMB around the edges and weed puffs and the smallies are all over the outer bay and sometimes you can get lucky first thing in the morning and get a couple smallies in the north channel let me know when your down and I will give you some more specific tips through PM.
