  7. Yea I got one that fits perfectly...but it still wouldn't get that sucker out...
  8. Great, here comes another problem after the prop... I am trying to remove the drain and fill plugs (slotted head) off my 70hp Johnson to change the lower unit oil...But apparently they are tightly seized I tried to give it a little knock with a hammer and small screwdriver...but it wouldn't work. I also try to heat it up with a little lighter (for like 2 mins) but it doesn't seem to be heating up at all...i can only see some fog/water building up at the spot where I flame it...and some dark burn mark which could be wipe off with cloth. But I couldn't feel any heat on the drain plug when I touch it...should I continue burning it till I feel some heating on the screws? Before I do more harm to the motor...my question is should I even heat the screw or will this cause problems to the motor? Anyone have any ideas of how to get these screws out? Thanks Jackie
  9. Thanks for all the advise guys! I will give it a try sometime next week. If the RPM doesn't go too low, and there is some top speed gain, then i will probably stick with it. If not I will probably exchange it with a 17pitch. Hey mrpike, I will pm you if this prop doesn't fit me. Thanks!
  10. Hey guys, spring is coming so I gotta get my boat ready.I screwed up 2 of my props last year. So I have to replace it with a new one. My motor is a 1992 70hp Johnson. The prop that was on is a 13 1/4 x 17 pitch OMC prop. I was getting Max 5500 RPM and top speed 39mph... Now I just bought a 12 3/4 x 21 pitch prop...wondering what will happen with that? Will it increase top speed, slower hole shot, low RPM? or better hole shot, slower top speed, and higher RPM?? or neither? OR should I just stick with 13x17? or even 13x19? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Jackie
  11. China is a wonderful place! But of course, just like any other countries, there will be a flip side of its wonderfulness, really depends on which part of China you go. There are 56 ethnicity in China, all have very distinct cultures of its own. So culture shock may not be an external issue, it could also be within the very own Chinese cultures itself. I think it really depends on ones willingness to adapt and respect the very distinct cultures of another country. Though it will be a very good experience for sure. And just to let you know...THEY have largemouth bass there as well! You may also pick up some cheap (BUT GOOD quality) fishing tackles too because there are a lot of tackle manufactures and suppliers in China!
  12. I have MW2 for PC and MW2+Black ops for PS3...but spend more time playing on PC than PS3...cuz I am so used to the mouse from playing Counter-Strike (one of the best game of all time!) Being a CS pro makes MW2 so easy to handle...for real!
  13. Hey Guys, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! lol...random...anyways... SO I decided to get myself another toy for the Chinese New Year... ...I will be using this fish finder on the trolling motor. I was able to find a pretty good deal between a LMS 334c iGPS (which I already have, and now maybe buying another one?)and the HDS 5. I have read enough reviews between the 2, and of course, there are bad comments and good comments on both as always, which make it really hard to decide which one to get Other than these 2 units, I also looked into the newer Elite/Mark series with Down Scan Imagining. The thing I don't understand with the Mark 5x DSI and the Elite 5x DSI is whether the unit is capable of viewing both traditional imagining and DSI. Any input would be appreciated! Cheers, Jackie
  14. LOL...actually that happened last year. I accidentally dropped it when I was taking it off the rod...such a stupid mistake...lol
  15. hey buddy, can you help me to find my Daiwa Presso in Scugog...LOL
  16. yea it's a fiber-glass boat. and it's apparently running on a 12 volt system with 3 batteries connect (positive to positive, negative to negative). I will rewire it for a 24 volt trolling motor, but should I disconnect the cranking battery from the 2 trolling motor batteries?
  17. Hey guys, I have a 15ft Javelin bass boat and I am planning to get a new trolling motor for her because I just destroyed the old one couple days ago... I believe that old one is around 36lb thrust... Now the question is: would a Minn Kota Edge (55lb thrust) be able to do the work? or is it necessary to go for a 70lb thrust? Would it cause more power/batteries for a higher thrust motor? Or is it better to go with 24 volt or 12 volt? (NOTE!)My boat would only fit 3 batteries, 1 for cranking the outboard, the other 2 for trolling motor and other accessories on the boat. I will be spending most of my time on Scugog this season, and Lake Scugog is a pretty weedy lake. So yea, please help me out guys!!! Thanks! Jackie
  18. went fishing on Scugog yesterday with my brother. We were hoping to catch some walleys...but ended up with a bunch of slabs. Majority of them were 12"-14"!!!! And we also caught enough sunfish to feed the entire town of Markham...LOL a little bit exaggerated...but it was A LOT!!!! . Unfortunately...we caught everything, but walley...Well...maybe I shouldn't say "unfortunate" because I caught a LOT OF FISH, and I had a lot of fun!!!! Yea it was a great day on the water...getting sun burn lol
