Calender Don

The lower grand river has been slow lately I was wondering if the lake Erie has pick up yet and if so how far out do you have to go.

I have a 14' boat with a 15hp Yammie it's a four stroke by myself in the boat 23mph and I'm 240 lbs trust me four stroke are faster than the older 2 stroke. If I add a buddy thats 200lbs I'm about 19-20 mph according to my GPS (garmin)

This spring my 15 hp got me down to 2 mph when I put out a drift sock I got down to 1.4 mph and caught lots of walleye in calender bay. I found the slower the better.

I prefer to use RITZ crackers rolled out fine. Dip the fillet in egg than on to the RITZ on both sides, cook with sunflower oil. No name RITZ not worth it, buy the good stuff. For Salmon bake it in fresh lemons juice and garlic and a bit of pepper.

I've seen it before at bass pro I don't know but maybe a broken jaw from someone who doesn't know how to handle a bass when they release it, the lower jaw the lower jaw looks like it maybe broken

I have a 2000 Ford Ranger great truck and it tows my boat no problem 120km on the highway and running 3000 rpm, hand Nisson crap had a S10 nothing but problems in the front end but the Ranger 260 000 Km runs great 600 Km per tank it's a 3.0L 5speed ext cab the people who say there car or truck dies when going up hill CHANGE YOUR 02 sencer ALL of them the Ranger has 3 S10 has 4 I believe. It will give you more power and give better gas millage.

I was up at Calender bay last week after the rain and with an over cast fishing was great pike all day long in 9'-12' and walleye 15'-18' as long as your boat is slow enough, I used worm harness for the walleye and meps #3 for pike I never got to try bottom bouncers in the deeper water but will be up there next week will try than.

I bought Yamaha last Sept. and got my paper work in Nov. in the next 2-3 weeks give them a call. In 11 days Yahoooo will be on the water.

I'm looking for a fishing charter for walleye in lake Erie for sometime in June for about 10-12 guys from work. Can some point me in the right direction, I'm from Hamilton. Thanks

On the lower unit there is a slot screw and a star shape DON"T take the star out. The flat screw next to it can come out and the other flat up higher can come out to change the oil, check gas lines and maybe the bowl on the carb, looks like good, when you get in running check to see the temp. of the water coming out if its warm -hot you may need a new impeller if fact I would change it to be on the safe side, four screws to drop the lower unit and one screw for the linkage for gears.

I have a Garmin it's a GPSmap 76CSx it's great it will tell me how fast I going trolling for eye's, I have southern ontario map in it lake Erie and lake Simcoe. I have a 2 gig card for it so it will hold lot of map. I need to get North Bay. I don't leave home with out it.

I was thinking of heading out to Gilford in the morning is there any depth I should try 16'-18' or should go deeper, got a new gas auger wanting to try out.
