  1. 2nd round game, of which they won, against an origional 6 franchise and some tickets were under $100. If it were the Leafs, they could be playing on the moon and I'd make the trek to go watch that playoff game.

Last time I was in Ontario I checked on Leafs tickets.

The cheapest I could find was $90 for last row, standing room only, obstructed view.

I watched on TV instead. ;)

$96 for a playoff game you would never see in Toronto!!!

I'll bet that same crappy ticket I found would be $200 and you can bet that it was occupied for each of their round 1 games.

Senators fans act like real senators — by not showing up

Hundreds of empty seats at Canadian Tire Centre as team has had only 1 sellout in playoffs

Not all Senators booster towels, like these shown prior to the game, were claimed Thursday as hundreds of seats at the Canadian Tire Centre were empty. (Twitter)

Hundreds of empty seats dotted the crowd at Canadian Tire Centre for Game 1 of the second-round series between the Ottawa Senators and New York Rangers on Thursday night.

Dozens of rows in the upper bowl were completely void of fans and there was even a noticeable smattering of vacant seats in the lower bowl.

The cheapest available seat for Thursday's game was $96 and parking rose to $30. Staff members could be seen pulling free giveaway towels off the empty seats.

The Senators, playing in the second round for the first time in four years, sold out only one of three home games in the first round against Boston. The club struggled with attendance during the regular season too — tied with Columbus for 24th overall at 87.4 per cent capacity.

Not even the regular season opener against the rival Toronto Maple Leafs sold out. The first sellout — and biggest crowd of the year — didn't come until Dec. 29 when Daniel Alfredsson's jersey was retired.

Declining crowds were a factor in the firing of Senators business management staff earlier in the season.

  3. I have a ton of SA face shields.

Got a bunch of the light summer ones and 1/2 dozen or so of the winter ones as well.

The winter ones are awesome. Wind blocker with fleece liner. Super warm and toasty even up here North of 60*. :D

  4. I thought outboards with thermostats pee right away but the water doesn't flow through the power head until it's up to temp? Did Nissan do things differently?

good luck though, keep us posted

    Most but not all.

Have seen some that don't pee until they are warm.

My little 4hp Merc 2 stroke is like that.

  5. People do have lives you know lol. I try to keep up on my verbal jabs but sometimes life gets in the way. I don't sit at a desk all day so it's after work trolling for me.

And yes I have some to add, look at the highlights of Karlssons mastery with the puck post I put up. :whistling:

Thanks for the thought though! :dunno:

Don't count your chickens before they're hatched Matt.

The Bruins have a way of coming back from the brink. :whistling::whistling::whistling:

  6. From my view point, it wasn't the ice. They were out of sink. Passes just out of reach that last game were tape to tape. They got out worked and out skated for most of the night. They didn't look like a team that wanted to win, they looked like a team that thought they would use their talent to win vs their proven winning method, out skate and out work.

Bill, normally I would agree about not sitting a defenceman, but Zietsev was a liability all night. I don't know what his +/- is, but he looked soft, scaredand unwilling to get dirty. Playoffs are dirty.

The Leafs weren't all that bad.

Yes they didn't come out with the intensity needed in the 1st period and pretty much lost the game right there.

There were able to mount a reasonable comeback unlike the Oilers the day before.

And their passing was no where near as lousy as the Flames passing was in last nights late game.

I don't blame Zietsev as he is probably still suffering the effects of that concussion.

I believe he came back early because Polak went out with his blowed up knee.
