  2. Seems every Newfie here in town owns a jacked up, tuned up diesel pickup. They all think they're John Force!!!!
  3. Timeline has been bumped up to tomorrow on the 9.3 event.
  4. FYI this CME is expected to hit us on Saturday. The one that hits tonight is only an X-1 class flare.

  6. Well it's getting to be that time of year again to get those nagging jobs done before freeze up!!!!
  7. The gas price Olympics of Ontario I do not miss!!! Up here in de Nord they keep the prices stable for some reason. Current price is $1.139 which it's been for quite some time now. Had a 2 cent jump a few weeks ago for a couple of days for some reason but then went back to where it was.
  8. Back at 'er again this weekend. Got the stairs almost done. Ran out of sub-floor adhesive so still need to get the plywood done on the top flight. I can now use them though. Move the kitchen back to it's temporary home. Got my starter strips cut and sealed so I can get to work on the siding when vacay begins Friday after work. Spent 2 days burning off cuts and skids too. The site is starting to look pretty clean now. Nice that we've had a bunch of rain so I don't have to worry about burning down the forest this year.
  9. Looks like the water is starting to recede. Seems there are now some vehicles with prop marks on their roofs!!!!

  11. My vote is on a gummed up needle and seat. Float isn't closing off the flow of fuel into the float bowl. Do you add fuel stabilizer to your fuel? I run it in all of my fuel except the truck. I never know when the last time my small engines will be used so I put stabilizer in all of my fuel. Keeps things from gumming up.
  12. Saw pictures earlier today of a looter that met a load of squirrel shot. Looked like it stung!!!
  13. OMG!!! Is Scotiabank sponsoring the Sens barn too?
  14. "This is how Texans are dealing with looters. God Bless Texas! Liberals heads would explode at this, but honestly these men are taking care of their neighborhood. They probably know everyone on their street and would protect them from unwelcome thieves. This actually frees up officers to patrol other areas."
  15. They are completely allowed to shoot them in Texas.
  16. Matt has assigned hotkeys for his responses. This way he can still eat hot pockets with one hand while posting from his mom's basement!!!!!
  17. Grizzlies are just misunderstood!!! There are some really fine bears on both sides!!! I've had many run in's with grizzlies over the years and have yet to be eaten. Not that the next one might eat me though. in 2009 I came face to face with a 1,000# sow at a distance of 3 yards!!! She didn't eat me. Now Polar Bears, you gotta watch out fer them buggers!!!! They WANT to Eat YOU!!!!
  18. And welcome to the Scotiabank Arena http://www.tsn.ca/mlse-agrees-to-record-arena-rights-deal-with-scotiabank-1.842133
  19. Just saw some rainfall totals and the highest amount in that 72 hour time span was 39.25 inches!!!! That's 999.96 mm of rain in 3 days!!!
  20. There's a bunch of insane pics from there. Here's a bunch of before and after gifs. https://weather.com/storms/hurricane/news/tropical-storm-harvey-houston-flooding-disaster

  22. Back out to the cabin this weekend. Got the flashing at the bottom of my siding installed. Siding starts to go on next weekend. Even had time to build up my lower section of stairs.
  23. It'll be fine. If it holds me, it'll hold you.
  24. I have one of those. The bed extenders are awesome for carrying kayaks. My buddy uses one for his Hobie Pro Angler 14. He handles it himself and it is a 110# kayak. I have a Honda Pilot and put mine on the roof rack. There is no way I could get a PA up there as the Pescador is about my limit. If you need to carry it a distance from the vehicle to the water get yourself a kayak cart so you can just roll it there.
