  1. Had the same thing happen back in the 80's doing 120 on the 401!!!
  2. It took me 2 years to get used to the speed limits here in Yellowknife. The in town limit is 45kph while school zones are 30kph. I don't find it difficult to follow the limits now that I have been up here 8 years now.
  3. Yep, if you don't like cold and snow, move!!! Plenty of room in Arizona and New Mexico for the whiners to stay warm.
  4. It was June 21st. Best guess is feeding. Spring is when the salmon smolt start to move out to the ocean.
  5. Here is a good one my buddy did last spring. Spey fishing of lakers in Alaska. http://vimeo.com/98921519
  6. Or not!!! What a gong show this looks like.
  7. The newest subdivision here in Yellowknife the places are selling for $400,000-$425,000 and that's for trailers that are so close together you can practically touch your neighbour from your kitchen.
  8. Turn off the 788 insert the sd card and power on the 788. It should ask you if you what you want to do with the data on the card.
  9. Watching the all star game is like watching the Leafs play the Leafs. Tons of shots and tons of goals all the while there is no defense and a bunch of guys waving their sticks around and not hitting or blocking shots!!!
  10. I've almost had accidents with two white cars in the winter that had no lights on. One was during a snow storm.
  11. Bill It's just a rink, not pretty but it's not like it's there 365 days a year. It's obvious that there is one DH on that street that is making it their life's work to b!0tch and moan about everyone else on the street. These people are usually depressed, angry people that are mad at the world. I am willing to bet that everyone in the neighbourhood knows who the butt head is. If I lived on that street I would get the rest of the peeps together and make it my life's work to get them to leave the area. People suck!!!! When I was growing up there were back yard, front yard, side yard rinks as well as ponds to skate on. I don't know of any backyard rinks here but there are plenty of rinks made on local lakes as well as several outdoor rinks and two indoor links maintained by the city. We even have an outdoor speed skating oval training track.
  12. Some good video put together by a crew of fire fighters from Ontario that came to help us out last summer.
  13. HAHAHAHA!!! http://www2.tsn.ca/bardown/Story.aspx?BarDown%27s%2BGuide%2Bto%2BPaperbag%2BExpressions&id=489517
  14. Phanuf not back for the 2nd. I have the feeling he pulled a Connor McDavid and broke his hand in that fight so we won't have to deal with him for most of the rest of the season if we're lucky.
  15. The Pens/Flyers game was kick donkey old school hockey!!! T'was a great game with lots of hitting, fighting and even an ejection or two!!! I'll bet Grapes shed a tear of joy if he was watching. I know I did!!!!
  16. I bought my boat 24 years ago and I still love it. 4 years ago I updated the console and 2 years ago I swapped out the original 2 stroke for a new 115 4 stroke. Should be good for a few more years.
  17. I remember being out on the laker grounds one day. Around lunch there was a huge ice quake. The huts jumped in the air and water came out of the hole. Seems that right by the shore where we came on in the morning a gigantic pressure ridge developed. The outfitter brought us all the way to the ridge, and we had to climb over it to get back to shore. I remember being in Bombardiers in the dark in wicked blizzards wondering how they didn't get lost as it was almost impossible to see the Christmas tree markers.
