  1. Gezz Bruce, what are you doing to yourself, pneumonia. Hope it clears up bud, not good.

If you can make it Bruce, do you have any 3/4, or 1 OZ jigs?

I don't have any on hand at the moment. I've ordered a heavier ball jig mold, but it is on back order. Should have some by the time the swap rolls by.

I have some OhMy! and some "plain nasty" available. Pick your poison.

  2. Get out there, pound the water, you might find them. I haven't heard about many Pike this time of year though. I know you are new here but no matter how long you have been here you won't get a GPS co ordinate.

Yep. My game is to pick a stretch of river and walk and cast. Some days are good, others are a bust. There is just sooo much public accessible shoreline

  3. The Kinmount Theater is a nice night out. It's pretty unique, like an old museum set in pine trees and reasonably price tickets too.

Used to go to the theatre in Minden. My buddy Steve was the projectionist working there and in Haliburton from the 80's well into the 9-0's. It was a nice, quaint, older theatre that wasn't too big or noisy.

  4. Military medals are also worn on the right breast when earned by father/granfather/uncle. In the earlier days of the legion it was easy to differentiate those members from an associate member. For instance, I could wear the gongs earned by my forbears on my right breast as a way of recognizing thier service and legacy.

Personally, I would not do so. That would be a betrayal of my uncle Bob. He had a chest full of gongs from the Great War. Never wore them, paraded or mustered at the Legion. He did not want the reminders. A lot of veterans still do not want the bloody reminders of combat, peacekeeping, or general service. They will not join the Legion.
