Was great to get out and see everyone. And, yes, I am very attached to my family. After all, my son is my bestest fishin bud.

What's there to think about!!!!! On my bucket list since I was a boy watching Red Fisher on TV.

I sure hope you will get better soon my friend.

Geez Bruce.. couple shots or rye or scotch should help
Already gone through 2 jars of elderberry brandy

Gezz Bruce, what are you doing to yourself, pneumonia. Hope it clears up bud, not good.
If you can make it Bruce, do you have any 3/4, or 1 OZ jigs?
I don't have any on hand at the moment. I've ordered a heavier ball jig mold, but it is on back order. Should have some by the time the swap rolls by.
I have some OhMy! and some "plain nasty" available. Pick your poison.

If my chest can clear we will be there. Picked up pneumonia over the holidays

I have reached the point that I can only handle about 2 hours of TV drivel a week. I could gladly cancel my TV service without any loss. Only problem is that the Mrs loves mindless drivel.

Get out there, pound the water, you might find them. I haven't heard about many Pike this time of year though. I know you are new here but no matter how long you have been here you won't get a GPS co ordinate.
Yep. My game is to pick a stretch of river and walk and cast. Some days are good, others are a bust. There is just sooo much public accessible shoreline

Do not give up the ship. The Mrs is still doing fine since treatment completed over 2 years back. The brother-in-law is still hanging in despite a number of inoperable tumors. He has now gone 2 Christmases longer than expected. thanks to PMH.

The whole Grand system is neat. I've caught pike in the Speed, Eramosa and Conestogo. I've also caught pike in the Grand at Byng, Cayuga, downtown Cambridge

Polenta is polenta.
We always make ut the same.
Gnocchi is unreal good done with ramen noodles, no lie
Love gnocchi and polenta. My family won't touch the stuff.. Only problem with polenta for me is that I get bunged up for days after eating it.

The bird is in the oven, roasting ever so slowly in anticipation of a house full of children for dinner this evening.

The sounds of non stop Christmas music

Won't be making it this year Kelvin. Lots of family to contend with from the 24th to the 28th. Then there's those precious little grandbabies to oooh and aaah over.

Jethro Tull's classic sophomore album Stand Up....
Boy does that take me back

Were you talking about the old Pinecrest Speedway on Hwy 7??? Close to there beside the 400 was the "400" drive-in. Went there several times in the early 70's with the step father.

Not Steve Cius?

The Kinmount Theater is a nice night out. It's pretty unique, like an old museum set in pine trees and reasonably price tickets too.
Used to go to the theatre in Minden. My buddy Steve was the projectionist working there and in Haliburton from the 80's well into the 9-0's. It was a nice, quaint, older theatre that wasn't too big or noisy.

Now if they are going to lay charges, they better be going after at least 1/2 of the politicians over the past 20 years. Once you find one rotten fish in the barrel, you're pretty much sure to find the whole barrel has gone rancid.

I was on simcoe today for perch in a boat. Water temps were 41-44 degrees.
Was fun being all alone on simcoe smashing jumbos. Haha
I've been out in the boat as late as Dec. 23rd. on Simcoe

Military medals are also worn on the right breast when earned by father/granfather/uncle. In the earlier days of the legion it was easy to differentiate those members from an associate member. For instance, I could wear the gongs earned by my forbears on my right breast as a way of recognizing thier service and legacy.
Personally, I would not do so. That would be a betrayal of my uncle Bob. He had a chest full of gongs from the Great War. Never wore them, paraded or mustered at the Legion. He did not want the reminders. A lot of veterans still do not want the bloody reminders of combat, peacekeeping, or general service. They will not join the Legion.

Sorry Bruce……but we always get to go first.
More so because I don't think we will have decent ice down here this year.
