Everyone should do whatever they can for safety reasons. Maybe we wouldn't have the government telling us what to do all time if we all used common sense.
No blame here, just an accident!
All huts should have reflectors on each side and snowmobile drivers should watch for unknown dangers on the ice, then maybe we wouldn't read about this kind of thing.
My son almost ran into an unmarked hut on Pigeon and his headlights are amazing.
I remember years ago on Simcoe seeing a snowmobile crashing into a hut in some heavy fog, it was a good thing no one was in the hut. The snowmobiles back then were nothing like the ones today and that crash was scary.
By the same extension of logic, you should also have reflective strips on your house. Cars crash into houses every year.
All clothing should also be manufactured with sewn in reflectors for the same reason. Pedestrians are run over all the time.
All anybody wants today is more and more unenforceable regs and laws.
Jsut look at all the unenforced rules for bicycles.
Just another costly layer of bureaucracy to protect idiots.

Great report. Good to see out out and enjoying life.
The amazing thing about adversity is that you can let it overcome you, or you can blow it down.
You've got the right attitude to beat it down good. Keep it up.

Put simply, the rewards program is a short term marketing ploy to get you into the store and purchase. By limiting the time you can roll over your points, they hope to get you into the store more frequently. They really don't want to see customers roll the points over for big purchases. Something you could always do with some other programs in the past.
Still remember a while back, my one friend walked into the CTC with a breifcase full of funny money to buy a canoe. The person at the service desk almost fainted.

That pan of smelts sure does look tasty Bruce and brings back many fond memories. I never tried catching them with a fish'n pole but used to spend alot of fun time back in the day catching them with a large dip net down along the shores of Lake Ontario.
My uncle told me about jigging for smelts years ago. Jigging for smelts in Musquodoboit harbour through the ice using eyes for bait. Netting of smelts wasn't allowed. Salt water smelts are a lot bigger too as I recall from some 40 years back.

That's the part I really like. Sharing oppoortunities and experiences with others so they too can enjoy the sport we love.

That's a awsome catch fellas. What do you use for bait?? I assume you need small hooks and light line.
Scooter
Maggots, red yarn, eye balls, mimmow heads.

Great stuff. I've got to get the kids over there this winter.
Pick a nice sunny afternoon for 2-3 hrs tops. They are a little more active later in the day.

Get used to having the Mrs serve you your
on a platter. My mother always has at least once a year., and sometimes so does my daughter.

Nice scenery to go with the morning's brew.

As always good to see you breaking that skunk, for now
Nice fish.

THe back sure is stiff after looking down the FishTV hole for 6 hours. Neat to watch the little buggers taking up the bait.
You 2 chose a good time to skedaddle. The snow got a lot heavier later on, especially along the lake.

I've netted them in the open creeks but how do you catch them through the ice? One at a time with a rod and reel?
You got it. When hungry they'll swim right up the hole to get your bait.

When the boys came home they smuggled tons of German and Nazi souvenirs home with them. The top item was a Luger officer issue pistol. Next was anything with an intact nazi emblem, all of which were to be destroyed. SS and party blades were very popular items.
I had inherited a collection of nazi postage 20 years back that fetched good money when I sold it

Past couple of years a few of us get together to catch some smelts on the ice. So Big Cliff and Crappieperchhunter made the annual pilgrimage down to Niagara to get together with RobD and myself on the ice. The bite was steady, but the smelts haven't come in in huge numbers yet. The plus side is that they are a little larger this year. Besides Cliff didn't want to be cleaning 700 smelts like last year. That really gets tiring
We were so busy having fun we all forgot to take pics of the day.
Our final results. 200 plus for eating.
RobD was keeping his for salted pike baits.
It was nice to see such good friends once again. Hopefully we meet again at the month's end.

The smile on a child's face after giving them their first fishing rod .
The same smile on a child's face after a good fishing outing.
A hug from my own kids.

Just think of the mass coronary you will dodge by quitting, and the money you will keep in your pocket.
Even after the coronary, I still feel better than when I was smoking.

Front snow hood is too small. Air intake will plug up with snow and stall.
Now this is a snow blower. They just never stop. Easy to maintain and reliable. The other T.T.C. kept a fleet of these multi use machines for over 30 years

That's a huge rip-off! Let's start pestering our MP's, guys. They can reverse the CRTC decision.
No Tory is going to reverse a pro-business decision that favours the big boys.
Grumpy Old Men

We have our own version of the "Grumps" here in Niagara. Complete with cantankerous old fossil.
Anybody who's met Old Harry knows what I'm saying.
The movies are funny, but it's scary how our behaviour can be so close to that at times![:P](https://ontariofishingcommunity.com/uploads/emoticons/default_tongue.png)
