  1. Did you buy it at Walmart for that price? Must have been a rollback, followed by a rollforward now, LOL!

It was the big one I looked at for $107.

I'm liking what I hear about the longevity of them from you guys.

Ya my Uncle picked it up for me as a present for my "new" boat hahah and he got it from wally world @ that price !

Like I said... I havent put the charger on it at all this year and its still running strong ??? .... knock on wood... again ! haha

  2. I have a Energizer deep cycle in my boat.... 36# bow mount... I got it before bass opener in 2009... I havent put the charger on it once this year.. other then at the beginning of bass season .... i use my boat...2-3 times a week ???

Knock on wood, I would say they are well worth the money..... and Ya, $120 is crazy.... I picked mine up for $89 on sale and its the BIG battery... I forget the amperage !

  3. Probably is but at this time of year manufacturers provide additional incentives to dealers to move current and previous year product. Most dealers won't tell you this as they want to keep it for themselves if they can.

20% discount is not unheard of at this time of year. Try it but be prepared to walk.

Well... I've come to the conclusion that the $11500 offer is to low.... I went to look at it again yesterday and found out its actually MY 2011 ... so I doubt they will blow it out !

I was thinking $13000 out the door might be a better offer

  4. I really do want the boat, but its brand new... I was looking for a used rig, But then again... its brand new.... so there is piece of mind.

I dont want to be the one taking the depreciation on the rig...

Its a Polarkraft 1778WB with a 40HP Eveinrude E-Tech 2stroke ... Elec. start, power trim. There is a promo on right now that gives an extra 2 yrs on the warranty... so 5 yr warranty on the motor !

Bilge, livewell, tonnes of storage, but no casting deck ! It does have a floor though.

Someone justify this for me ? hahah

  5. Hey everyone

I have a new boat that im looking at !

Im looking at $14273 all together... hooked on the back of the truck and pulling out of the lot

A guy here @ work is telling me to go in and offer $11500 out the door.

Do you think thats a reasonable offer ???

  6. hey everyone,

My local marina has a 16ft Mirrocraft "Troller" for sale. Its a 2007 model with a 40 HP Electric start Honda 4 stroke tiller on it !

They are asking $8995 for it !

It comes with a 525 Humminbird and it looks to be in real nice shape!

Im not to familiar with these boats and just curious if the price is in line with what its worth ?

  7. you didn't seriously just bring up the tiller versus console debate did you? haha just kidding dude. I have no input on these boats, but good luck!

ahahah I thought the board could use a little debate !!!!!

Thanks for all the input fellas !!!!

  8. Get ahold of me when your close to heading our way, I live in Chatham... Ill talk to a buddy of mine , he has a 2008 Ranger 620VS (Bob Izumis old boat )

He isnt a "guide" or Charter service, but between the 2 of us, we should be able to put you on some fish... in either body of water... Large mouth in rondeau, smallies on St.Clair, or Bow and eyes on erie !!!

PM me so we can exchange numbers and what not, if your interested that is !!

If not, I know the name of some guides in the area and can give you the contact info !

  9. Hey everyone

I will be fishing a tourney on the Detroit river coming up soon and I have NEVER fished a river for bass... I know there is alot of current in the system and I was curious what sort of techniques I should be using in this situation ???

Any help would be great ! Thanks !

  10. ...www.tackletour.com .... I know this site has been thrown around on here a few times... but check out the "show and tell" section.... Its a perfect site for the tackle "enthusiest" ...or the guy that wants to dream about spending his life savings on all the pretty, shiney, EXPENSIVE, high end gear !

  11. holy man, you need to live on the border! I got the luxury of cheap beer and liqour AND oscar meyer hotdogs! sault ste marie ontario, with a quick drive over to sault ste marie michigan haha. that reminds me im runnin low on bud and oscar meyers.......

hahah I live about 25 minutes to the ferry across the St.Clair river !!! I always here everyone talked about the "beer" runs ... go get 5 cases and come home..... even with the tax/duty.... its still cheaper then buying it here

  12. I talked to Ryan yesterday, the guy whos boat was hit ! The driver of the big boat was NOT on autopilot. I heard two stories on what had happened....

1- The driver of the bigger boat was starting to take off and get on plane and didn't see the smaller boat in his way ! Which does make sense because a 35' cruiser when gettin on plane sticks pretty far in the air... and you can't see anything infront of you for a good distance.... BUT thats no excuse AT ALL !!! he should have been aware of what was around him before hand !

2 - When I talked to Ryan, he said that he noticed the boat far enough away coming at him that he called his girlfriend over to him because he thought they were going to have to bail !!! Which obviously he had to do ! He said the bigger boat was on plane and cruising right towards them ! He still seemed pretty shaken up talking about it thats forsure !!!

Either way just straight carelessness .... good thing Ryan noticed the boat and they are alright !

  13. Felt it here in Chatham !!!! The funny thing about it is, I was on the phone with a customer west of Ottawa and he went silent in the middle of our conversation.... I asked if he was still there and he says " Ya, they are blasting sewers about 3 miles from my place and one just shook my truck !! " hahah I said oh yea ??? thats crazy..... then we went on with our convo and about 2 minutes later... I went silent ! hahaha All of a sudden i felt like i was drunk rockin back and forth and the displays in the show room were shaking !!!!

  14. Hey everyone

I want to get into competitive bass fishing. But I only have a small aluminum and limited FUNDS/TIME ! So I was thinking of organizing a small 75HP and under bass tourney.

Open to any age group... I dont know if it should be a single angler entry or a team entry ??? what do you think ? I only wanted to make it a $50 entry to keep it in the budget for most people !!!

It can be any style of boat, just a max of 75 horse power.

3 fish limit / Big fish pot ($10)... Bass only

Fish must be alive at weigh in which means your boat has to have some sort of livewell rigged up... a bucket with an aeroater would make a good livewell... and with only a 3 fish limit... it doesnt have to be huge

We can do a 7am-noon or....3pm-dark.. time limit ??? or even a full day, 7am-2/3 PM ??? Im not sure.. I guess i need feedback on that.

I dont want to make this a PRO style tournament.... just something for the smaller boat guys and girls to get out and enjoy some competitive fishing.

I wanted to make this on opening day in Rondeau Bay, I do not think there is any other tournaments going on in Rondeau opening weekend !

Well what does everyone think ????? any comments suggestions are welcome....

My phone number is 519-365-0127 ...shoot me a txt or give me a call for information.

    Thanks .....Tyler

  15. #1 You should have winterized it and put new plugs in

#2 Are you using fresh gas?

#3 Seafoam in the fuel (overdose it)

#4 New plugs after Seafoam tank of fuel

#5 Change lower unit oil and impeller

    #6 Enjoy

#7 Make sure you winterize it properly this year

1- I know... Im an idiot ! hahah first winter with my own motor, Lesson learned :wallbash:

2- YES.... Ive put roughly 45-50L of fuel through it this year already.

3- Can you buy Seafoam at canadian tire ??

4- So keep the current plugs in... run a tank of "seafoam mix fuel" through it then change to the new plugs ?

5- I changed the oil at the beginning of this year, not the impeller though, it was changed last year. Still pees nice a good

    6 - Thank you !!!! :thumbsup_anim::thumbsup_anim::Gonefishing:

7- reffer to #1 for the answer ! haha

  16. Hey everyone.

I haven't had a tune up done on my outboard since last year. I stored it in the garage all winter and didnt winterize it. ( its a heated garage so it wouldn't freeze)

Now its starting to give me a little trouble, It fires up after a couple pulls, idles rough as heck, to the point that if I dont give it throttle right when I get it to fire up it will stall.... but runs GREAT at top speed.

Last year I could fire it up with one pull and troll at 2 mph no problem !

I looked on the net for tune up suggestions, but I would like to know what is making it idle rough ??? and what I can do to fix the problem !

    Thanks
