  1. I think that the next time the Animal Alliance or P3TA has a rally or protest, we should make it a point to attend with our BBQ's, burgers, hot dogs, and fish. This kind of stuff makes me sick.
  2. Ditto with the winter and summer tires. I purchased winters for the first time this season, and I'll never go back to all seasons.
  3. I believe the Tracker boats are welded not riveted, which brings up another argument. If you're planing on hitting big water like St.Clair & Erie, you may want to go with riveted. Good luck!
  4. I lost mine last year and went through the same process. I couldn't remember who I got the card from, so I ended up sending an e-mail blast to every authorized dealer on the ministry's site. Once a figured out who it was, I had to send them $15 for a replacement. About 6 weeks later I received my card, and sure enough, the card I lost miraculously reappeared. Anyways, yes it is Bull that the government wouldn't have a database. Good luck!
  5. I haven't had any luck with them ice fishing either, different story on the soft water.
  6. I've been using the GULP minnows and worms for app a year and I find that they have been an incredible replacement for using live bait. I've caught lots of crappie, perch, and bass subbing either the worm or minnow imitations. My question is, do you guys use GULP, and what type of techniques or applications do you use it for. I'm considering using GULP for dropshotting, wacky rigging, and jigging. Thanks in advance
  7. Ditto for Bluewater Optics. Available at LB or Walmart
  8. Just to follow up, I did receive a nice prize pack from Mike Miller today, and as promised, I will donate the prizes to an OFC charity drive. I'm not exactly sure who on the board is involved with any of the drives, but please PM with your contact info. Thanks to Mike and the gang at Fish'N Canada for their generosity. Cheers!
  9. I should probably get a free issue for having the same nickname.
  10. I had a couple of funny customer names: twit Chow Joanna Porko
  11. med-heavy - to heavy action
  12. Can't go wrong with an Abu C3. There cheap, bulletproof, and great for multi species applications. I use a 7-7.6 foot rod primarily for pike and bass. It can double for a musky rod, if you are only planning to use 1-2 a year. Good luck!
  13. Seagar mostly. I use 30-40lb braid with 1-2' 28-35lb fluoro leaders with a uni to uni knot for pike. I caught app. 30-40 pike last season with no break offs.
  14. ABC - Always Be Closing
  15. Coffee is for closers.
  16. I had a great time at WNR last year, and I booked again for this May. Ian is a great host, and the fishing was pretty good. We caught lots of pike, and the odd bass. The fishing from the dock also provided for hours of fun. Lot's of panfish, and we did see a 45+ musky swim right by us in the shallows. Good luck!
  17. Hi Anton, Welcome to the board. I do quite a bit of business with your IT dept at Novopharm. I look forward to your posts.
  18. Guys, Just an FYI, I think we can put the first post to rest. I did receive a couple of PM's from Mike Miller, and even though the prize thing was not the fault of FNC, which I totally agreed with Mike's argument, he has taken the liberty of making amends. He has offered to donate a couple of prizes. In the spirit of this board, whatever prizes I receive will be donated to the auction/charities that we promote on this site. To the mods, can you please let me know which auction/charities I should donate to, and who I would contact for that. I'm glad to see that this has been closed, and I look forward to watching Fish'N Canada this weekend. Thanks Mike!!!
  19. Wow! Thanks for all the responses. As an FYI, I do enjoy extreme angler, and the loud music. As for the FNC guys....waste of my breath. Cheers
  20. Thanks Terry, I told them the same thing when I called the show. Not a surprise that I never got my prize. Oh well, their loss not mine.
  21. Yes sir, once on the show, and a few times via e-mail.
  22. About 1 1/2 years ago I called one of the local radio stations during the Outdoor Journal, which is hosted by the Fish'nCanada guys. As a caller I was awarded a prize for calling the show. I waited about 2-3 months and received nothing. I have sent 3-4 messages to the FNC folks over the past year with absolutely no response, and I have yet to receive my prize. Initially, I was disappointed that Fish'nCanada changed their format which was absolutely ridiculous, but I'm also upset that these idiots lost a fan and a viewer over a $20-30 prize. Has anyone else had any problems with these guys? Cheers!
  23. Agreed GCD, nothing wrong with eating a big fish if you're within the regs.
  24. You guys have determined that this guy has been catching and eating his fish legally, however, you are still raking him over the coals. If you guys think that this species should be protected, take it up with the MNR not the guy who followed the regulations.
  25. It a legit question. There are regs in certain states that allow you to C&R out of season fish.
