  1. Sounds like someone needs to get out fishing.
  2. Boy are you guys sensitive or what..god forbid we go to another site.
  3. A buddy of mine recently bought a cottage on Dickey Lake. I know that there is lake trout and bass in there. Does anyone know of any other species in this lake? Thanks!
  4. use google maps
  5. This law should have been introduced years ago, and should apply for smoking in the home as well. Non-smokers should not have to be subjected to second smoke, especially children. It makes me furious when I see parents smoking in the car with their kids. By the way, I am a smoker, and I will never smoke in mine, or anyone's home, out of respect for the non-smokers.
  6. Neely never won a cup. He was with Vancouver and Boston.
  7. I saw you hit the sign, we were the boat parked right behind you at the launch. That was some good comedy first thing in the morning.
  8. Tarpon Fishing in Florida
  9. Hi Shelly, how's Courtney?
  10. I've got several baitcasters ranging from Shimano, Quantum, Okuma, and Abu Garcia. I personally like my Abu's. Best bang for the buck, and hardly and birdsnests.
  11. That's a great deal people, I can't believe no one has taken you up on the offer. I'm with my fishing buddy tomorrow, but if you ever want to hook up during the week, please let me know.
  12. You might want to also try using a trailer hook with a grub to increase your hook up percentage. There have been days where all the pike I've caught were on the trailer hook. It could be the difference between catching fish and getting skunked. Cheers!
  13. I'm a big fan of the Northam Fishing Spinnerbaits. I've had great success with the Perch colour, but on some days, any colours will work. If you send Frank an email introduction, and mention that Bassman told you about his products, he might throw in an extra lure with your order. I have personally used many brands of spinnerbaits ranging from $1 - $12, and Northam's are my favorites. Good Luck!
  14. Nice report, looks like fun
  15. The fight of a musky, and the acrobatics of a bass, all in one.
  16. pics added
  17. having some tech.difficulties posting the photos. Stand by please.
  18. Just got in from my annual family trip to Indian Rocks Beach Florida. As you will see from the photos, the fishing was incredible. I caught a monster snook from the beach, app. 36" and 15lbs. I also hired a local guide for my first attempt at tarpon fishing, and I now have a new favorite fish. This tarpon is app. 50-60lbs, a lightweight by FLA standards, but a monster in my eyes. Any words I put together will not express what an incredible experience tarpon fishing is. A give a lot of credit to the guide I used. His knowledge of the best fishing dates, tides, moon phases, feeding patterns, etc, ensured that we had the best odds at hooking into some of these prehistoric beasts. Unfortunately, I mistakenly had the camera set on B&W for the tarpon photos. Oh well, I'll have to take some colour ones next year. If you're ever in the Tampa/St.Pete's area, I'd be more than happy to put you in touch with the guide that I used. Please feel free to PM me if you need more info. Cheers!
  19. You should have tried this. http://www.break.com/index/man-jumps-into-...t-to-fight.html
  20. I've posted a couple items on Greg Klatt's Charter service. Go into my profile and check my previous posts. I've taken customers out a couple of times now with Greg, and had a great time. Definitely money well spent. Nice guy, great fisherman, and you will definitely be a better angler after a day with him. Good luck!
  21. Nice haul. I will definitely keep that charter on file for any future outings. There prices are reasonable as well. Cheers!
  22. Thanks, Shore fishing in saltwater is a different beast than up here in Canada. You never know what you're gonna catch in the ocean. Cheers!
  23. Anyone going down in August?
  24. I've heard about the same problem at a lake near Simcoe. If it's the same lake, the "parasite" has been there for many years.
