hey buddy thx for quick reply. i just put new gas this morning and added oil.this is all i did.the guy i bought boat said outboard was tuned up last year before winter.i can see fresh grease every where.i checked spark plug also it looks brand new. when i try to start it just cranks and not start.no sputter or anything.it looks like motor is trying to start but last moment it doesn't. the guy i bought boat said just put new gas and it will start for sure.so should i take to marina or try to change spark plug again .let me know.thx also can u tell me what this mean "gap measurement" .i am not sure what ur talking about.i also dont have manual for outboard.thx

today morning i went to Bluffers Park to test drive my new boat.i changed the fuel.changed gear oil.every thing set. fuel is also coming.outboard was tuned up last year before winter. but when i try to start the engine it cranks but not starting.any know what could be the problem.let me know.thx thx it is Johnson 28hp outboard.

guys can some one help me.I have 28 hp johnson outboard.can any1 tell me how much oil should i mix with gas.do i have to mix oil with gas or just gas would be good enough.let me know also what are the steps to start the outboard when it was winterized.do we have to put outboard oil somewhere in outboard.i am totally newbie about boat/outboard so help would be appreciated.let me know asap.thx

thx for reply.i though going into depth the down rigger is only option.I have never used1 before.I want to catch whitefish from lake Simcoe & salmon&trout from lake Ontario. can you tell me which rig would be better for me.if possible can u send me link to that product so i know how it looks. also do i need to buy special kind of rod or my medium action rod would be good enough.

Good news.I wanted to buy boat for long time.Finally i got the boat.Got a very good deal.i know this boat is not fully designed for fishing but this is my first boat of life.It should do the job.Later when i get used to it i will buy bass boat for sure It is 14ftp fiberglass boat with 28 HP motor.+Trailer Good condition.Good Motor(tuned up last summer).Pic is attached below.Now i have few question 1.Will i be able to use down rigger on this boat. 2.Will i be able to use trolling motor on this boat. If yes,please let me know what kind of fish finder,trolling motor & down rigger should i get. If u have some stuff i want for sale,pm me.
