  1. Hola ......from Mexico. Cervesa? Si senior! Hey the Sens won last night in Vegas. Looks like they can't even tank the season properly...lol What a place here...Loving Mexico. Cheers!!! 3 days left.
  2. Laffs get Plekanic.....
  3. Wander down the beach and you can fish. Lots of beach to walk. I have caught trigger fish, needle fish, grunt fish and bonefish right off the beach. I use my fly rod mostly but a spinning rod works great as well. Small spoons and spinners worked well. Small and flashy is the key as I found. I'm heading down Monday to Mexico and plan to do some shore fishing again this year. I wa at Barcelo Maya last year and to the right of the resort when you are on the beach there is a rock outcrop, fish there. Shallow is best 2-4 fow. You will love the resort!
  4. It goes. Had it up to 125km hr which is fast enough for me. It has lots of get up and go but is not built to be a race sled. It'll go where others won't with its 154 x 20 track and is like a Cadillac on the trails. So smooth and easy to ride. Comfort is unreal with the bar position and seat. I also had a trailer behind me on my trip to Manicouagan and it towed like it wasn't there. I estimate the weight of the trailer was about 400 lbs plus. Imo it's a multi use sled well suited for off trail, trail and working and carrying a passenger, if you want a trail rocket then this sled is probably not for you.
  5. Yes I have the 154 x20 track. Ride is amazingly smooth.
  6. Oh believe me there are no tears. The Sens suck, plain and simple. Getting rid of the pylon was just a start.
  7. It's in my bathroom on roll on a dispenser!
  8. That sucks! I did a lot of travelling just to be able to get some rides in. I can't complain though, they were great rides. Will be sad to put it away already but it doesn't look good for Ontario in general! That said, Feb 19th is way too early for winter to end. The forecast for March is not a good one for sledders, ice anglers and skiers.
  9. I picked up a new sled this year, a skidoo expedition le 900 ace and so far so good. I've put almost 1400kms on it so not bad for a first year and limited snow. I would have to say I'm so please with my purchase, it is a perfect sled for what I wanted it for and it has performed flawlessly above my expectations. Watching the weather forecast the last week or so I was bummed about the prospect of this rain ending the year and after checking the trail status on OFSC website, it looks like this last weekend was the time to go. On Saturday morning my friends Lynn and Kevin and I headed from Ottawa to Deep river where we started our ride. We took the A trail up to Mattawa and had lunch at the Mattawa golf course club house. The hills and scenery were awesome, the trails were in mint shape and the day was beautiful, couldn't ask for better. We headed back to the park and ride in DR and after all was done we did 280 kms over about 7 hrs. We talked about going again Monday to give ourselves a day of rest but a quick check of the weather brought on the possibility that if we didn't go Sunday we might not be able to go Monday. So, up bright and early Sunday and drove to Deep river again for another ride, same place but mix up the trails a bit. Ater a fantastic 5.5 hrs on the trails we had gone 190 kms. The weather was awesome, could not have asked for better. 470kms on the sleds and 800kms on the trucks. Here are a few of my favorite pics of the trails over the 2 days.
  10. Yup, that was about what anyone could expect lol
  11. Good job JB on upping your banter, you have learned well!!! LOL Phanuf screwed Ottawa by not waiving it last year and Methot being the casualty. Now he is gone and Ottawa basically got nothing again except for saving 4.5 mil over 4 years. Dorion, which ironically has the same letters to spell Dion, is messing this team up and needs to go! Vegas is a one off, they better enjoy it while they can.
  12. I'm good with that lol Laffs will be out in the first round. Sens weill get a great draft pick and we are done with Phanuf. Things are looking better already lol
  13. yup......see ya Dion pylon
  14. wow.....funny how things change. For years and years and years the laffs were where the Sens are now and you laffites are recycling the same banter that was once on you....how soon they forget lol
  15. More alcohol please lol
  16. Not in my opinion! Just a sinking ship right now. Painful to watch! UGH
  17. Perfect!!! Just where I want them lol.......ugh!
  18. Roads are fine and well maintained. They are basically hill after hill and lots of curves but otherwise great. Very scenic!
  19. Yeah, no fish lol. It's a huge place and the lake has lakers and brookies and we didn't find either. We did some fishing in 135, 80 and 40 fow but not even a blip on the Hummingbird. I think we should have been right at a creek entrance into the lake instead of out in open water off points. We did only fish 2 days and about 5 hrs each time. The owner of the cottage has never iced fished it before but showed some pics of some pretty amazing fish caught trolling.
  20. Was invited to go on a trip up to northern Quebec with 4 other guys to do some sledding and ice fishing. The trip started in Ottawa and I went to rendezvous with a buddy and another one of the guys on the way to Montreal. Now, I only knew one of the guys going and the age group range was from 26 to 52 so I thought this could be interesting lol. After meeting up with the guys and loading sleds and gear we proceeded to Montreal to meet the last two of the group. Some more shifting around gear and loading sleds and we were on our way. We left Montreal around 6pm Friday and the plan was to drive through the night to Baie-Comeau to pick up another sled. This drive was 10 hrs long and pretty exhausting after having worked all day but we made it. Man was there ever a lot of snow, we were getting the itch to be on the sleds!! After loading up the last sled we drove the 4 hrs north on the 389 to Manic-Cinq where we stopped and had some dinner. Next morning we drove north to an access point to lac Manicouagan where we unpacked ans hooked up the gear for the 1.5 hr sled ride into the cottage on the island. At this time we were in -37 weather with 5' of snow on the flats and 7 feet in the bush. Not a trail to be seen anywhere, it was bushwacking all the way. Each sled had a trailer and some of the gear we brought in was a 6500 series Honda generator, 25 jerry cans of gas, food, fishing gear, clothing. Everything you need to survive in a cabin on an island in the north with no power or running water. Oh, and beer! We arrived at the cabin and then proceeded to cut the trail up to it in order to get the gear up. Then dinner and some laughs looking forward to the next day doing some riding. The fog was what happened when the door opened when it was -51 out lol, it filled the bottom 2 feet of the cabin. Next day, riding, so awesome. And some fishing, no fish caught lol. I think they had gone south for the winter lol We spent 4 days in an absolutely amazing place. Some more pics.
  21. I can see it going either way. A total blow up and rebuild or just a couple players moved. I don't see them moving Karlsson but hey, they did bring in Phanuf the pylon so anything can happen. Duchene has been a lot better as of late but the whole team still sucks brutally! I'm going to see them play NJD tonight and I expect the sad sack sens will get pummeled 6-1 or more. UGH!!!
