Actually it is for a conditional first round, a second round and a third round. Hammond was a one trick pony and will likely never suit up in the NHL again, a prospect in Shane Bowers...never heard of him. Did you actually see what Ryan did in the playoffs last year? He was a machine. UGH!!!! Laff fans!

Sens gave up nothing! Duschene is an upgrade by all standards. Turris wanted 8 years on his contract but yet settled for 6 in Nashville which is a bit of a head scratcher. We kept all our depth and defence and young upcoming talent. Duschene waited a year for a trade, to say he will be coming in invigorated is an understatement. A big win for the Sens IMO

Dushene a Senator, not sure how much I like this

Ok, now lets just analyze this statement!!! The laffs were the joke of the league from 1967 to 2017 They had a rare playoff showing last year that made the fans think the cup was on their doorstep The laffs were eliminated in the first round by a depleted Bruins team Meanwhile the Sens went to double overtime in the conference finals against the cup champs They started the season high on adrenaline and youthful enthusiasm with no D and without a #1 goalie They now have lost 4 of the last five Sens are ahead in the standings, less regulation losses and are ahead in the head to head season games Muskymatt predicted the free fall Laff fan automatically thinks laffs will dominate Sens for life......(no emoticon needed)
-
LOL....we have a game in hand, 4 less regulation losses and are a point ahead. Look at it any way you want but you guys are in a free fall and the Sens (without the loss to the scabs) are looking good. 2 regulation losses in 13 games, 7 less GAG And....we made you guys look like a minor league team
-
Not bad for a guy who's team has had 4 losses in the last 5 games
-
Well they both are huge impact players. They both were looked at as leaders. Both elevate the level of others play. Both can/could put up lots of points. Both have a great shot. Both garnish tremendous respect from the opposition,,,,,,but for different reasons. Chara could kill you in the corners, or if you had your head down coming down the wing, or he would punish you for standing in front of the net. You had to know where he was on the ice at all times. Karlsson will strip you of the puck, or start a break out play, make you look bad and either deliver an amazing pass or skate through your team and score,,,,from anywhere. Point, top of circle, middle of the ice or behind the net, the guy can pick the net. When on the ice you have to know where he is or like I said he will make you look like a minor leaguer. And on top of that his breakout speed is amazing. So my answer would be , they are both great players in their own right, and for their own specific reasons. I would like to see both on the same team.,

Yeah he's not a bruiser physically dominant guy but then those guys never have the skill and speed to be anything other that. He has the most points per game than any defenseman dating back since from 2002. He also was 2nd in the league in blocked shots last year and believe it or not he was throwing his weight around when needed. He's electric, grabs a hold of the game and elevates every other player around him. So if I was asked if I would trade off qualities he has for more size and physical dominance I would say no. That's what his partner Method was good for, being the guy who would allow him to be offensively minded while knowing your partner was a stay at home, physical D. And I do agree he is just entering his prime.

Hahaha

I'm pretty sure you guys would trade D for D straight up with Ottawa, maybe with the exception of Phanuf lol. I like our forwards and with the exception of bringing Matthews in, I would keep pretty much all of them.
-
That's right!
-
Crosby has off games, Gretzky did and I'm sure every superstar had a bad night now and then, it's human.
-
Nope. Matthews is an unquestionable talent, so is Marner. I would take either of those guys on the Sens in a pinch. I hate Kadri with a passiona and wouldn't want him on my team no matter what, all because he is a pos and is a dirty player who dives when you touch him. Any hockey fan anywhere should be able to recognize that Karlsson is an outstanding defenseman whether you think he is the best in the league or not.
-
lol
-
One bad game lol...you laff fans would give a nut to have him and you would be lying if you said you wouldn't. 2 time Norris winner, should have been 4 times. He lost his partner in Methot, had surgery, missed the training camp and first 5 games of the season. He comes back and gets 9 assists in 3 games and you guys on bashing him for 1 off game. No wonder you cheer for a team that sucks as bad as the laffs, you know nothing about hockey! By the way is that 3 losses in a row for the laffs? Who did they lose to and by how much last night?
-
I have this one as my screen saver! Look at the pain in the face of the guy in the middle
-
Yup, Watching them lose is almost better than the Sens going to the cup finals!
-
So did your defense, they looked really bad lol An the forwards are starting to show some frustration! I see bad days ahead!!

Yeah, my Safari is on a open trailer with the slush guard. Even with the guard and a cover, the salt gets through, lots of it. There will not be any chance of my new sled getting all salted up. Also going to upgrade the mudflaps on my Silverado for the winter.
-
Probably not, my sled is 650lbs. Will have my buds sled on the other side most of the time. When I'm solo I'll have my hut, which when loaded with my gear is about 200lbs but I'll have a couple of sand bags in it as well.
-
That's the habs fans for you! I hate to say it but they really, truly believe they are hockey royalty and they act like it. They expect to win every game and if they don't , even the guy who gave them any fabric of success in the last 7 years is not safe from their wrath.

Do you need a new ice fishing sonar unit?
muskymatt replied to DRIFTER_016's topic in General Discussion
That's insane. I was looking up ice hut and you can't get a quality one for under $700 +- Cordless drill augers are crazy $700 and up Gar augers $700 and up, closer to $1000 Even the less expensive flashers are almost $800 now Clothing is ridiculous with a decent set at $700 It's all a money grab now, getting into the sport if you want to set yourself up decently can run an angler over $4000 No wonder why I take care of my stuff and make it last as long as I can. -
Nice! Now that I see that, maybe if I put a slight bend in my tow bars it will pull better. Great idea!
-
Here is my hut behind my Safari, I found the angle of the bar caused the bar to pinch on the top rim of the hut. My new sled will sit higher at the hitch making the problem worse. If I lift it 2-3" then I won't have that problem (as much). Always gotta tinker with something lol

Good advise! Thanks!
