Going to have to respectfully disagree here as cloth masks and procedure masks do not stop aerosols. We take approximately 30,000 breathes per day. How many of those breathes are aerosol only? Well over 99%. It is proven, confirmed by pretty much every source that cloth masks and procedure masks do not trap aerosols. If you believe the narrative of the media that these "masks" do anything significant, you are being brainwashed. edit to add... have a look at the first PDF link and then read the second link. This is the truth about masks, no matter what you see of hear on the news/interwebs. https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npptl/pdfs/UnderstandDifferenceInfographic-508.pdf https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/personal-protective-equipment-infection-control/n95-respirators-surgical-masks-and-face-masks While a surgical mask may be effective in blocking splashes and large-particle droplets, a face mask, by design, does not filter or block very small particles in the air that may be transmitted by coughs, sneezes, or certain medical procedures. Surgical masks also do not provide complete protection from germs and other contaminants because of the loose fit between the surface of the mask and your face.

Wearing a mask is not a rule. People need to use common sense though. As individuals we only have a few laws that really affect us. Social gathering limits are a law. Staying out of closed facilities is a law. Everything else is legal. We can travel, we can participate in activities. We can choose not to wear a mask, but with the expectation that we may not be allowed into facilities that require a mask be worn. We can go to other peoples houses. Social distancing and proper sanitization is all that is needed to squash this thing. Unfortunately most people can't stay away from others in populated areas.

I think Ford being the leader of the party would be his boss in that sense. If Baber wants to continue representing the constituents he needs to appease them and if that means acting like an employee to the people, so be it.
-
When the boss says something, right or wrong, and you publically go against them... well ya... you gonna get chitcanned. I know this is a politically based thing, but this really is a lesson for all of life. Know how far you can stick your neck out before you get it chopped off.

I think the intent of all of this is isolation. If people can participate in activities that are not "group" activities, it's reasonable to do so. For me to hop in my vehicle and go solo ice fishing, or even have a buddy get in their vehicle and the two of us walk out (obviously reasonably separated) we are isolating as much as we are in our homes while being able to get out. I don't think a lot of this stuff has to do with self entitlement more as it has to do with whether we can safely participate in these activities to minimize the risk of transmission.

Good stuff. I suppose the crown will argue that "Doug Ford said to stay home" is the way they will try to justify the ticket? Police issuing tickets for any of this is just grandstanding because they know it will never stand up in court. Nothing in the provincial announcement talked about travel restrictions plus the quoted heresay explicitely says there are no travel restrictions. So ya... officer I am from Hamilton, is there a law that says I cannot travel? When I go ice fishing, if I am asked by an officer anything I will respond with I am getting exersize, possibly getting food and improving my mental health all while social distancing. If the officer still gives me a ticket, guess we'll see him in court. The only law that I could be possibly breaking would be a law that violates my charter right to mobility.

Covid vacine, will you, wont you ?
jonasdry replied to misfish's topic in Non-Outdoors Open Discussion
Wow... Can you show any proof to backup your claim about damage or dead from the vaccine? How about the results of proper clinical trials or a 5 year study on this vaccine? I'm not saying that it's going to damage or kill anybody, what I am saying is that anyone who claims the vaccine is safe is making stuff up because it hasn't been proven safe or unsafe yet and with respect to other medication has not gone through the proper testing that *every* other drug has. -

There was nothing shady about the places I have worked. None of the places I worked ever took shortcuts in the regulatory process or performed phase 3 clinical trials in a few months just to try and be first to market with anything. -

You should lock it anyhow. If someone can't post a valid fact and experience based concern about the lack of proper clinical trials and testing of something being injected into people without being labeled as all the things akrisoner has done to me, there is no point in allowing discussion about it. I'm glad we have people like him who are experts in all this stuff thanks to reading some stuff on the interwebs. -

Ya... you just echo the opinion that is given to you through the MSM and blend in with the crowd like the good sheep you are. You don't like being called a sheep but you have grouped me into several groups. Can't take what you give? I live in no fear of anything or anybody. I have simply questioned the safety and effectiveness of this new "vaccine" which has been pushed to market in 1/10th the time of any other medication out there. I suppose you have experience in the industry and know everything about the regulatory approval and clinical trials. The flu shot... 40-60% of the time? So lets run the strawman argument here like you have. Can anyone prove the people who got the flu shot would have actually gotten the flu without the shot? Here's a real serious question for you: How many people who get the MMR vaccine actually get any of the three? That is what a vaccine does, not 40-60%. Again, I am only questioning a single thing so all of these other groups you have put me in and all of these other things you say I am afraid of and all these other words you have put in my mouth are BULL. -

Where's the conspiracy theory? Now you are just labelling, assuming and name calling. I have worked for several pharma companies. I have been part of about 20 regulatory filings. I know what's involved with them. I don't trust rushing anything to market without due process, which in this case is what they haven't done. How well is that flu shot working out? I know as many people who have gotten sick after receiving it than I do who have not. You can call me all the names you want and label me as whatever you want but I have never said anything about a conspiracy or any of the Bull you have added to this. My concern is lack of due process and clinical trials for what they are injecting into people. You may be a good sheep and believe everything you hear on the 6 o'clock news, but some of us actually think about things. -

How long were the clinical trials for the 4 mRNA vaccines? More specifically phase three? Do you not think that if there was a viable vaccine for influenza that they would be offering it to people? Ask you doctor about getting a vaccine for the flu. CMV is also not so different than covid, why aren't we mass immunizing for CMV? Interesting questions considering the flu and CMV aren't so different than covid in terms of transmission and mortality but ain't nobody talking about mass immunizing for those considering mRNA is some sort of trusted/proven "vaccine" right? I love the phrase "hopeful observations". -

What peer review was done on these so called covid vaccines? mRNA is something new that is not the traditional vaccine. People hear the word vaccine and assume it is the same as all the other ones they have had when in reality it's not. These accredited people you mention have classified it with other well proven vaccines just to try and gain immediate trust from the public. There are many doctors (accredited as you like to say) who have concerns but they are being drowned out by the MSM because the MSM is controlled by the globalist who should be thought of as wanna be dictators of the world. -
You should be able to find a pressure canner at almost any second hand/thrift shop. If you are on the budget look for a presto. If you are dumb like me I bought and All American 925. Anything that is not acidic needs to be pressure canned. Read through this: https://nchfp.uga.edu/ The US Gov't has spent decades testing and publishing food preservation information. Each state has an "extension office" generally located at a large university that also tests and maintains information as well. The link above is one of those. Be safe and good luck, be prepared to waste a couple of batch's as you figure it out. My kids were eating chili yesterday that I pressure canned in the spring.

The covid vaccines is an mRNA vaccine. It's not a traditional vaccine but something new that their have branded as a vaccine. If anyone has done any more research on mRNA they will know that mRNA doesn't prevent you from actually getting or transmitting a virus. It simply suppresses the symptoms of it. Dr. Faudi in the US expects herd immunization will occur sometime in 2021. This is again because these "vaccines" do no prevent you from gettin it. I am not an anti vaxxer by any stretch but what I do know, having worked for several large pharma companies is this. 1. mRNA is a new technology and just because it's called a vaccine doesn't mean it is the same as traditional vaccines. 2. The average time to market for any new drug is 8 years. Phase 3 clinical trials (where people actually get tested) is a 3-5 year process. These covid vaccines has gone from inception to injection in 8 months. 3. None of the vaccine manufacturer's will publish whether or not there may be a danger to any demographoc nor will they publish whether they think there will be any type of long term effects. Medical professionals are gambling on these so called vaccines because they have to 1. justify their jobs and 2. provide positive reinforcement for the social benefits of everyone. -
And this has exactly what to do with email?

This is not true anymore. It hasn't been true since 2015.

Both myself and my wife have ordered lots from there and used our regular credit card, never an issue and if something doesn't arrive or is damaged the return/credit policy is simple. When I say lots, my wife, thousands of little things... per year.

I recently looked through my class photos from when I was in grade school. One year my class size was 26, the rest were all 28-31 students. We didn't have these issues then. I don't think class sizes are to blame. I believe poor parenting is to blame. I also believe left leaning social influences are to blame. Never when I was a kid could we threaten to call the cops, CAS, etc on our parents when we were upset or disciplined. In those days adults were not scared to do what they had to do to keep us kids in line. Kids these days aren't scared of anything other than responsibility and accountability. With the imposed social changes in acceptable behaviour by minority and special interest groups, society as a whole is degrading. Society was much nicer, polite and safer when conservative values were the norm. The conservative society gave acceptance to the special interest and fringe groups and that inch they had has turned into miles now. The fact that so few people have changed society to what it is today is scary.

I'll start with nobody deserves to die. I'll also mention that I grew up in this neighborhood sort of. Some family and a lot of friends lived on Lang, Melvin, Roxborough, etc. It's a tough area, it's also "the projects". Parenting in that area is not quite up to par with more affluent areas. To blame the school, especially for something that didn't happen on the school property is just wrong. I am not an educator, nor do I support a lot of what they do, so I am not biased or sticking up for them. The problem with children of today is that there is no accountability or responsibility, something I have been dealing with for my own children as well. I spend a lot of time and effort trying to teach my kids that good behaviour and hard work will reward you in life. In the area of town that these kids live in, parent's generally don't put that much effort into parenting. I don't know the fellow that died, or his mother or his family so in no way am I saying they did anything wrong or they are to blame. What I am saying is that I grew up in that area and I still know a lot of people in the RH, Barton, Parkdale, Queenston block. I know how things are there. There needs to be some punishment changes in the system for sure. The area there has most certainly been cleaned up and is looking a lot nicer that it was when I grew up there but it still has a way to go. Hopefully this tragedy will encourage some of the local politicians to find cash for some social programs that will allowed the kids to interact a bit more with each other and reduced the cliques in the area or at least reduce the animosity of the kids.

My dad and my uncle both had trailers at Sam's place for a number of years. From the late 80's to the mid 90's. I spent many days up there during the summer break when I was a school kid. I go up there with friends now, always out of Deseronto. I would love to retire up that way one day.
