  1. can't get the hang of my baitcaster...soon as I get comfortable, bang, birdsnest...thinking of converting my havy rod to spinning for casting big Muskie baits...what problems will I encounter?
  2. the gift card is gone....it's not tied into your name at all....the couple in front of me yesterday, husband smiling and wife really ticked she says "what do you think this is Christmas?"...he just kept his head down and mouth shut but kept on smiling!

  8. hey folks...anyone know a not too expensive lower niagara river guide...I'm interested in trying for lakers/browns/rainbows in March and have never been there

I heard that bellwood was closed to ice fishing this year because of low water conditions...could be wrong...thru the ice they have lots of small pike and perch...in the summer the bass fishing is pretty good...there's a launch run by the conservation authority that you cvan phone for conditions but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they've closed it to ice fishing this year
  10. if regards to the red spots the picture taken with the tape measure were mine, they didn't have any spots when I caught them...just blood and eggs from flopping around together in the bucket
  11. I was told by one of the counter guys at Bass Pro that Bass Pro actually now owns Browning and they are making all of the BPS gear...he implied that the quality is not very good ever since the take over

  13. the real beauty with these guys is they kill and throw all of the bigger fish away as top dollar is only paid on the smaller eaters....along with all of the incidental catches of other species

I'm no pro but I read in one of the 50 or so fishings mags that I subscribe to recently an article were the guy was talking about rattle spoons and the great success he was having wally fishing thru the ice. So much so that he tried an experiment where he glued some rattles to one of his regular spoons....great success also....then the rattles fell off and the success continued, he then came up with the conclusion that it wasn't the rattles so much as the action he was imposing on them to activate the rattles, that was resulting in his success......just thought I'd throw that in there

  22. I know that fish don't spawn until they reach a certain age but do they ever stop after that ie is that 25lb pike, 12 lb walleye really going back into the gene pool or are we just kidding ourselves?
