Lures attract fisherpeople.. not fish
Ryan Landry replied to irishfield's topic in General Discussion
Maybe we should do a little experiment! (please read my entire post before posting) I will have some of our lures made in all black on our next order. Lets choose 7 of the hard lure types ( first 7 people to choose 1 type each ) and type it in this thread. Lures are here - www.hammerheadlures.com Then I will select 10 people who will each get a set of 7 custom all black Hammerhead lures (for free of course). All we need in exchange is a small report from each of the exeptees of this experiment with your thoughts and findings In a new thread we will create sometime in july. All I ask is please don't volunteer for this if you are not going to follow through with it. With all that said, I personally think that black will be " just another color" it will work well on some days and not on others. And better in some bodies of water than others. P.S. The first 10 people to post in this thread "I want In" will be "In". Thanks, Ryan -
Holy crap, nice fish!

We had a great day as well, now we are hooked on ice fishing. Can't wait for next year! Kudos to everyone involved. Ryan Landry

No problem, Devon was catching perch on this greenish yellow one without any minnows. I tried that with a white one and pink one, no luck.
-
Nice meeting you as well Wayne, I had hoped to talk to you a little at the end of the day but you were already gone.
-
Thats my girlfriend Ann, I curled them up so its easy to find her when she tries to run away from me!

Here are some pics from the event earlier today We ended catching 35 perch in total, and had a great time meeting everyone. All in all a very good day on the lake! Thanks, Ryan

I will be there along with 2 or 3 others.

Looking for a pick up truck
Ryan Landry replied to fishing n autograph's topic in General Discussion
My first truck was a 2001 dodge dakota, it was a nice looking truck but I had problem after problem including a new tranny at 140,000 km's. I have now owned an F-150 for just over a year and not a problem. I am really happy with this truck and you can get some nice 2006's for $25,000 to $27,000. And if your looking for something different check out blackstock ford as they have dealer authorized off road and street packages for great prices. I got the mojave kit and it looks amazing. Ryan -
Ohio, Thanks for letting me know, that is news to me. I knew about the big hammer swim baits and jigheads, but not the hammerhead jig company. Here is what I'm thinking, Yes the names are very similar, but they are still different. As for the logo, they are using a different meaning of the word Hammerhead than we are (tool vs fish). The products that each of the companies sell are completely different. They manufacture Hammerhead jigs (which look nice by the way)and we have no product of that same name. Nor do we plan on adding these types of jigs to our product line. I don't see it as a big deal, and hope nobody else does. Thanks, Ryan landry

Bill, I agree with you on that, I'll see what i can do about It. Thanks, Ryan

So after many many hours of work on our site, it's finally close to what we were aiming for. Now we just need some feedback (good or bad) from you guys, to make the final adjustments. What we mainly want to know is, do you feel the site is user friendly? can you find everything no problem? Your first chance to purchase our products will be at the Toronto sportsman show in march. They will be sold out of the Al Flahertys booth so be sure to give them a visit. We are working on the bottom scroll bar as we speak. There are still many products to come, so stay tuned! http://www.hammerheadlures.com Thanks in advance, Ryan Landry

I personally think it's illegal, based solely on the fact that it's looks extremely fun. Extremely fun = Illegal (most of the time) Ryan

Welcome aboard, I'm sure you'll like it. p.s. nice fish!

No problem, I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't like a good deal (myself included). It's all good! Ryan

Tony, The hooks on the lures are manufactured in the same facility as the lures are. In my opinion they are pretty good hooks, they are very sharp. With that being said, there are better hooks on the market but they cost more $$$. I think a large percentage of people will be happy with them right out of the box. We will sell from our website until we feel our products are eaisly accessible to everyone through local fishing shops. We are also doing the Halifax sportsman show in march and working on getting our lures in the Toronto show aswell. We also have many other types of lures to come such as: Freshwater -spinners -spoons -swimbaits -musky lures -termenal tackle (steel leaders ect.) -and a line of tungsten products (split shots, jigheads ect.) -ice fishing jigs Saltwater -Mackeral/cod jigs -squid jigs -sabiki rigs -Tuna lures Thanks, Ryan

Yes they do, most of our lures have rattles in them. a few more of the Protege.

We will sell from our website until we feel our products are eaisly accessible to everyone. But our main objective is to get them in stores. Since the K-9 seems to be popular here are 3 more colors. This is a topwater bait, that will "walk the dog" almost effortlessly. It's 4'' long. Thanks, Ryan

First off I would like to say that there are many lure companies out there, and sure there will be similar and even exact same lures out there in terms of shape/style. But you can't forget about an equally important aspect wich is quality. Quality of the plastic, paint, clearcoat, hooks, assembly, ect. My partner Devon and I are huge fans of Rapalas (they catch fish) and in my opinion are very well built lures of high quality. We own hundreds of them each. I give you my word that our lures are up there with some of your favorite brands. As for the price range the 12 types listed here will start at $5.49 - $6.99 there will also 5 more types in that price range. Thanks everyone for your feedback!
