I have plans to go in on April 28th to North Tea. I called the Whitny office today they said that a chopper was going up either on the 26th or 29th. I asked him what he thought and he said the park would likely NOT be opening for the 28th of April.

100% not happening.

Yea those are Specks. The real Quebec Red is actually a landlocked Arctic Char that has evolved into its own subspecies over time. Salvelinus alpinus It's a common misnomer used on the Quebec side. The real one doesn't have those spots or square tail of the Speck. Nice fish and pics though regardless Kev. A great day fishing to be sure.

Amazing, but are those Quebec reds or specks? Great fish either way. Our trout season opened yesterday up in 13 too, would've tried to sneak out on a small lake if I wasn't stuck at work, ice is damn persistent this year!

hate on 36 all you want, but i can tell you right now that 90% of rappers in the game owe their careers to these guys...they have their place its just not a sound thats for everyone.

Frank Ocean is one of the few good things to come out of OF...Maybe Earl too. I like some new stuff, wouldn't say I'm up on it though. Joey Badass/Pro-Era had some good mixtapes a few years back, first Asap album and his mixtape were great, love Danny Brown, love RTJ/ELP/Killer Mike and all the various incarnations of MF Doom. I think I just namedropped every contemporary hip-hop artist I've ever enjoyed listening to lol

I have noticed first hand the abundance of juvenile walleye and Sauger and an apparent lack of larger walleye on the northern stretch of the river, and I hope to see the regs a little more strict in the next few years. 5 fish with no slot simply doesn't work on a fishery with that much pressure. That said, it's still an amazing, prolific system

There is a pretty limited range of where it would be useful, can't see them being appealing enough to make it worth the money to most people, but their marketing has been so aggressive that I'm sure a bunch of people will get suckered into buying them, use them once or twice and then end up on kijiji for half the price a year later

People need to be babysat. I can only imagine how many people would just show up without even checking the conditions before making the drive up.
