I've been reading this thread as it was unfolding, because I am not a boat owner. I would like to say the following to 'big red fisher'. If you go on a public forum to ask for advice you have to be a little more humble. You came here to serve yourself and not offer anything. From what I read, you got a lot of good advice, and some of it required a little bit of effort, and you were hesitant. Some people made a few nasty remarks, and I cannot say that they were all unwarrented. However you were completely out of line in your last post . By doing what you did, it shows that you used this forum in an utterly self serving manner, and getting what you were looking for, and now by saying what you did, you wiil probably not post again. You should not only give a big thankyou from what you got from this forum, but give a SINSCERE apology for what you added to this forum. This is a perspective from a NUETRAL reader.

Anyone who makes more than 100k and thinks that they are worth more, give your head a shake. I'm a farmer and I have to work harder and put in more hours then 99% of you guys and take home less than 40k With my investments and the risk factor that I have to deal with, I am grossly underpaid. And don't give me the speal that farmers are dumb. Just be glad that there are people like us that work so hard for so little,just that you guys can eat so well in this country. You add extentions as you go down. You disconnect the motor unit, add a 2 foot extention, hook the motor unit back on and drill the next 2 feet. Do this 5 times and you reach bottom. They could have done the reverse when taking it out but they wanted to show you how deep the ice actually was.

That is true. The rules should be changed. But who will change it. And better yet who will enforce it. They are above our laws.

There would be no other group or nationality that would be allowed to commercially fish this lake. How is it that only the natives are allowed to do it. This has gone way beyond what the initial intent of them being able take out of the lake for personal use. The problem is that there are two laws in this country. One for the natives and another for the rest of us. As long as this continues there will be no end or resolve to this issue. All people are created equal and should be governed by the same law that looks to the well being of all it's citizens. Any exceptions to this rule only causes problems. That is why we have this problem with COMMERTCIAL FISHING on this lake.

GCD I wonder who is the one that is misinformed. If you don't think that the natives play every card that they are dealt, and then play the role as victim, Then I think you are misinformed.

we were at Sandybay and the fishing was real slow as well I heard that callander bay was slow in that period as well. If any one can dispute what I've heard I would like to hear a report to the contrary.

I'm coming up on the 5th, I'll be fishing with Sandybay on the south shore. Please keep a few walleyes for us. Good fishing guys.
