  1. Vertical jigging with ice fishing Rapala tipped with a minnow on the treble hook (best to replace that hook with a slightly larger one). Use your electric motor to work the drop offs in the deepest water you can find. The walleyes should be school up tight in the deep water and you might even snag a fish or two. Remember to release all snagged fish
  2. Happens all the time........this last time though I was at the short end of the ugly stick.....restaurant took my credit card and had it for a long time...........waiter said their system was down and would have it back ASAP....20 minutes later he returned the card to me and I added a tip on the bill. Now for the last 3 weeks a extra $136.11 has been on my account. It's been on and off then on my account again. Had to call the C.C. company and they took it off but it's still in the investigation mode for now. Sooner or later it will be straightened out once and for all.
  3. I was taught in school majority rules, but somehow that no longer applies.
  4. Definitely Canada is somewhat different then the US but also much a like in many ways. However, now that 2 attacks occurred in a very short time things have changed, not only in Canada but everywhere else in the world because of these cowards/terrorist that roam the earth. After 9/11 the US has been on constant alert to protect it's citizens and if Canada doesn't do the same it would be disservice to it's citizens. But that doesn't mean we should act/do anything different other then keeping a watchful eye out for each other.
  5. Fishermen who travel great distances expect to catch fish or they would stay much closer to home and fish. If the limit is only 2 with a probability of going down to one it's a signal to fishermen the fishing at any said lake is not good and they look for more fruitful waters to have a fishing party/gathering/get together. This is not good for business along any lake shoreline.
  6. Have you been to DC or Times Square in NY. I haven't been to Times Square but have been to Washington, DC 3 or 4 tmes and haven't seen them.
  7. bigbuck, having traveled in the US and other countries I have yet to witness what you said here. Can you please submit some links or other proof. Has anyone else seen what bigbuck has described because I know many others here have traveled in the US, some may even go south for the winter (I hope to someday) and wait out the winter.
  8. Heavy armed police everywhere. Can you explain that because from my experience that is the furthest from the truth.
  9. Where I grew up, work means either you produce something or provide a service. Standing on a street corner looking for handouts is called begging, not working. This reminds me of a Al Linder show where at the end of his show he preaches something to the viewers and although I'm not religious I always enjoy his little sermon. This time he tells the story of coming out of a bank or wherever and a women with a couple of young kids is begging for money to feed her children. Al Linder told her to follow him to a restaurant across the street and order whatever you and your kids what to eat and he'll pay for it. The women then started to swear at him until he walked away. He then warned viewers to be wary of these kind of beggars.
  10. The sump pump solution is a government answer. Or would they suggest turning off the water and only use bottle water.
  11. It would be pretty hard to prove where those tire were purchased and the custom guys and gals have much bigger fish to fry.
  12. If you have problem with your plumbing and it's flooding your home, do you first address the very large leak or the small leak first.
  13. Yes, I do......and I don't see anything wrong with that. However, we have written off Lake Nip years ago because of the commercial fishing done it in. I wish them all the luck there but really don't see any light at the end of the tunnel because of the double standards it must suffer through.
  14. After 2 sets of Bridgestone's on my truck I have sweared never to buy them again. They do the job and don't vibrate or fail but the tread wear is bad VERY BAD.....save your money and get something else.
  15. Maybe some areas of the planet are over populated but not the whole planet.

  17. Yes, there must be more to this then having body fluid come in contact with you because if you watch the news on TV these medical teams are in full blown hazmat suits. Never seen that when someone has the flue.
  18. Ebola is real and should be taken seriously. Flu shots are readily available and also should be taken seriously.
  19. Proving you can't teach a old dog new technology.
  20. Real worms have been proven for over a hundred years and they are FREE
