Its ridiculous to read comments on here by guys claiming that Leafs fans here have already engraved the Stanley Cup on the 2018-2019 season … you guys are full of it …LOL , keep on trolling …. and then commenting how pathetic it is to have 185 pages dedicated to hockey on a fishing forum, meanwhile you keep adding to the thread that you call pathetic .. do you even read what you write before you post ? The Leafs don't seem to have any sense of urgency , last night I would have expected a much better first period after their loss to TB , but which Leaf team will show up is anyones guess .. Their defensive zone coverage sucked last night and they can't get away with that kind of play , pumping 29 shots in the third is not going to happen in the playoffs .. The first round … if its against Boston ? At this point in the season the Leafs are not showing the fans that they are ready to take on the Bruins with any sort of confidence ….

Creating great memories , cheering your team is what its all about ....albeit not the outcome we wanted ... I remember Leafs losing to Montreal in 1977 and 1978 ... that was crazy .. (Sittler, Macdonald, Salming) and then 92 and 93 (Kings and Canucks) ... (damn Gretzky) but my best memory was sitting under a tarp in Algonquin Park with Mike Borger listening to Leafs vs Bruins in 2013 on a little transistor radio ...we went speck fishing but it was no way we were going to miss the play by play ... every time the Leafs scored we were hootin and hollerin !! man we must have looked hilarious ... great feeling being able to enjoy that with another passionate fan in a place like Algonquin Park...

they really can't offer excuses ... (coming off road swing, Hyman sick, bad bounces etc.... ) it really makes no difference what they need to show Leaf fans is if they have the ability to bounce back with a vengeance.. They need to finish these last 13 games with a statement that they are ready for the playoffs ...

I'm certainly not saying at all that Matt Martin would be better to have on the Leafs lineup ... i'm by no means an armchair general Manager But I know what i see, as do most Leafs fans .. every scrum in front of the net the Leafs seem to scatter ...LOL, my comments are intended for their playoff hopes , we know what they have done in the regular season , they won't be able to generate their speed and skill as easily if they get off their game every time someone finishes their check on Marner and Mathews their regular season play in these last 18 games is going to show us what we can expect in the playoffs ... beating the Oilers was not something i would get overly excited about ... they play Tampa and Calgary coming up, these are games to see if the Leafs really shine a healthy lineup going into the playoffs is going to be critical ... the crowd last night at NYI was a playoff crowd, that was just a taste of what to expect in the playoffs .. just wish our Scotia Bank arena was like that ... all i want is to go deeper than the first round !!!!!!

After watching the game last night I was thinking of what to say ... according to Akri he seems to think that this Leafs team will have no problems in the playoffs !!! LOL No friggen excuses ... back to back games ? they knew this was going to a big game for Tavares, yeah they had a backup goalie and were missing some players but the playoffs is going to be tougher than last night ..... no toughness absolutely !!!!!! if they play Boston first round ... geesus !!!! and the Islanders fans .. LOL ... Wow i wish we could replace the first 20 rows at the Scotia Bank place with real Leafs fans like that !!!!! I didn't see any suits at ice level last night at the Islanders ... I've been to few Leafs games this year and absolutely you can hear the skate blades on the ice its so quiet....

oh...and the whole "someones gonna run marner talk" no...no one is...the league just suspended connor mcdavid for 2 games for a hit. The NHL has changed. time to get your mind outta the 90's, they were a quarter of a century ago. hey Akri … not running Marner, but finishing checks … I'm sure you know that the playoffs is a different beast … I'm not talking dirty headshots but it’s a ground and pound in the corners , guys play with an edge every shift , with animosity , refs will let more slide unless it’s a blatant dirty shot or scoring chance denied … forecheks will be relentless you know the Leafs bowed out in the first round the last 2 years … some say they were out hustled and out muscled .. I agree Talent and speed wise they look great, better than last year ? most definitely …. Leaf fans are cautiously optimistic that things will be different this year in the playoffs… no one wants to say they maybe "Soft" … but we shall see …

It's not a matter if but when someone runs Marner and who is going to step up ??? Hyman ? ..LOL Notice Wilson's , nice goal last night, wait till the playoffs and see what a player like that has an impact going deep ....
