Very cool our season in the US is open as well as an extended deer season. In certain areas such as Loudoun where I live we have a abundances of wildlife.

I tip a jig with a rubber tube and a meal worm and slow troll behind the boat. Once I get a bite I drop a marker and back off and cast back to the school.

Just for comparison, I paid $125 for a 45" skin mount 4 decades ago.
Seemed like a lot of $$$$ way back then.
Is that a smile breaking thru Lew?

My mother paints as a hobby and the talent that is needed is amazing. The subtle concepts of hair, shadows and movement in nature takes a lifetime to master. The people who have mastered it turn a canvas from 2d to 3d have all of my admiration.

Gotta stop getting weather reporters from Washington DC..2 inches shuts down the Government
Wish we had the equipment we needed to make that statement false. The only good news is no matter how much we get it seems to be able to melt off within a week. Vary rarely do we have long spells of white stuff on the ground.

I lost a big beautiful Blue catfish to a nice stoogie. I still smoke em while I fish....just the cost of enjoying the day.

That makes sense most of the time they are out in the evenings in the back bays. Lots of fun to watch them when they tie into a decent carp and get drug around for awhile.

I am suprised that more people do not use paddleboards up North. I guess it has to do with you do get wet but down here lots of people strap a milk crate on the nose and fish the shallows. I would join them but I have a 10ft pelican that works for me and launches from the back of the pickup easily with one person.

He might be thinking of a past member that was banned for being highly offensive named "The Maverick" his time was short. I can guarantee everyone here that you are not him. lol

Welcome back sounds like you got a lot done in your time away. I am looking forward to your unveiling of your art work. The others were a joy to see I am sure the plaques will be just as good.

As I tear down my reels to clean them I have been replacing the Bearings with new ones from Boca Bearings and have been very happy with the outcome.

My brother in Minnesota says to his kids "If summer falls on a weekend this year we will go to the lake both days".

It is kind of deceptive the flats boats have low gunnels but loaded with flotation. However they are maxed out with that load in the front. If they spread back out they draft very little on and off plane.

The way I see it you beat second place by 2 oz.

I prefer to stick with name brand tires. The quality control and the ability to hold a company accountable has a value in itself. It seems all of my vehicles have some kind of special tires ranging from load range E to runflat tires. While this in itself drives up the price of the tire they all have been pressed above and beyond there duty and have passed all of the trials I have thrown at here.

last boat I sold I spent 3 hours going over the boat with the new owners explaining all of the quirks that had showed up in the past. We went over the as is sold contract and answered any questions he had as to what AS IS means. We squared up on the price and I returned $100.00 to him towards any items that I did not know about. This follows two basic rules of selling something Get the terms in writing and the correct price is the one where both parties are happy.
BTW the boat is still running like a champ and we fish together regularly.
best of luck
