  1. Insulation with wood flakeboard wall will add to the expense but it is the best money you can spend.I like that I can put a nail in anywhere I want and hang stuff and if you bump into it no drywall damage. Paint it white and put twice as much lighting in as you think you need. We also pulled a separate feed and a 200 amp circuit panel box so if you trip a breaker you don't have to go to the house to reset it. Build the front to back an extra 4ft for a work bench and the ability to walk around the car as you work or play in their.

  2. Actually as a vet thank you is enough in my eyes. I signed up to protect the rights of everyone and even offered to lose my life to fight for freedom of all nations that my Commander and Chief deemed in need of our help. I did not do it for glory nor for people to stop me on the street and thank me I did it because it was what I believed in. I am lucky and while I was trained to fight I was not called into battle but it was something that could have occurred. If you see a Vet thank him for his fight to give you the freedoms you have and for the ability to sleep well in a free country. Take the time to listen to his stories if you are lucky enough to be blessed with them for we are doomed to repeat the past if the future does not heed the voices that endured the past.

  3. I don't know, but me and 3 other guys have stand-up jetskis at the cottage and we all just throw them under a tree, under a tarp, and fire them up the next year (or sometimes 2 years later) and they don't miss a beat, just my 2 cents

The jetskies carbs are built without float bowls so they are less likely to build varnish than the floatbowled carbs found on outboard motors. The fuel in the tank will still burn but it has water, varnish and other unburnable products. Jetskies will take a beating without question but any motor that you take care of will last longer than one that you take less care of.

  4. Here is a cut and paste from Sta-Bil.

Stab-Bil's Ethanol Treatment formula was designed to prevent corrosion from moisture and ethanol induced water attraction. It is the best ethanol problem fighter with more than four times the fuel system cleaner and twice the corrosion prevention than Sta-Bil, as well as two non-alcohol water removers. It was designed for use with every fill up in all 2-4 stroke marine engines running gasoline, gas-oil mixtures, and ethanol blends, and it can also be used as a safe storage treatment in snowmobiles, motorcycles, motor homes, and all outdoor power equipment including lawn mowers and tractors.

    Hope it helps.

  5. Aww he changed the spelling no more fun...

Fogging has a big benefit it puts a protective coating on the passages were the Air flows thru the engine. With a fuel additive protecting the fuel and good old anti freeze in the water jacket you are golden.

  6. The Marine version (blue) is the red plus added stabilizer and ethanol treatment. I only use the Blue in all of my fuels from the lawn mower to the boats and engines in the cars. The big boat holds 70 gallons and is stored full to prevent moisture since it lives in the water. So far every time I have tested the gas their was no water or ethanol separation. Whether or not it works I will keep to my routine. :thumbsup_anim:

  7. I removed the carpet in the driver section on my Ranger and put vinyl in last winter. While it is easier to keep clean and I needed a place to deck the fish besides the carpet it does get hot in the sun. I usually fish barefooted because hopping overboard happens quite often when it is hot down here.

  8. You got a good attitude about this fishin stuff skipper I am glad you found the sport of fishing to relax with. If their is anyone in the area who wants to take the time to meet up with a learning fishing buddy this is the guy. He was nice enough to share a truly inspiring life story with me and it showed he has heart and it is in the right place.

  9. So Mod and Admin are the same then, right?

Yes Paul we all have the same access to the controls and the ability to stop a situation if it pops up till we can discuss the actions. That discussion occurs in the secret room were we leave messages back and forth till we form a consensus. Their is a lot of discussions and planning done to keep this place going and the time spent here is donated to the community by all of the Mod's/admin..

  10. I stay a casting distance away and if I am catching and they move in close for crappie, perch or schooling fish I will point out the area I am fishing and ask them not to spook the fish. I then tell them what I am fishing with and offer them one if they don't have any. Most of the time they move on when the bite slows down and if they get on a school they will motion me over to fish their spot. Now if you are bass fishing or other non schooling fish then a casting distance is a fair distance to keep from each other.

  11. Paul I have (2) 10 foot pieces of 1 1/2 pvc pipe hung from the garage ceiling and spaced them so the reel handle is on one and the other is 3 or 4 foot from that. It supports them horizontally without putting pressure on them in a negative way. I would not store rods so they have pressure on the tips like leaning against the wall. Truth be told I have not had any proof that is bad but I also don't want to test it on my rods. I am sure Spiel or some of the other rod builders will answer this pressing question.

  12. I would go to the local animal adoption and see if they have a dog that has outdoor life experience that is in the mid size range. I think a corgi would be a great dog for you and Paul. They are the right size and built for the outdoors and have a great personality for you and the people you visit.

  13. Its Art.

Actually I am listed as a Root Admin. I however smelled funny so Roy put me outside for awhile. It sometimes seems "one" of the mod's are picking on someone but rest assured it has been discussed and the actions of "one" is backed by all of us.
