My point is how can you get a ticket for driving and talking when police,hydro,city,bell,rogers all drive around with laptops on the front seat, if your going to ban cell phones then be for banning everthing i dont think of it as my rights being taken away , i think its a joke that a cop driving and staring at a laptop can give a ticket to someone talking on the phone...its a joke.. why isnt laptops being banned from being in the front seat?????? and yes they are told to not drive with them open but i see it all the time, i drive minimal 40hrs a week now and 70 hrs a wk in summer for work only, then add the time i do personnel driving.. and yes i use my laptop as a tool while working everyday i have it on the front seat and a printer/scanner/fax wireless internet camera and cell phone now tell me that isnt more of a concern to you than someone talking on the phone....why is it that the everyday citizen gets hit with a ticket but utillities and police have super abbilities to multi task? ya ya we can get charged too but you cant see the base of my front seat like you can see my hand to my ear? i do like the idea of telling work i couldnt answer my phone because i was driving! ill use that one alot when this comes into play.

my point about cb's is it is similar to talking on a phone , when someone calls you you have to look for the cb , pick it up, and push a button and hold it near or in front of you face and talk with someone, then let go and listen to what they are saying not to mention volume ,squelch, etc to me it is the same damn thing, how can you be FOR banning cell phone and not laptops or cb's??? still a safety thisng isnt it.. and if you rear end someone iam sure the first thing you do is close your lap top befor anyone see's you right? cause you wouldnt want to be caught breaking the law now would ya! you might get paid leave.

I drove past a city cop this morn talking on his cell phone????? and who's enforcing this law? what about truck driver CB RADIO not to mention the cops driving around staring at their laptop attached to the front friken seat??? i have my camera sitting here on the seat ready to take pics of the next one i see!!!! oh ya what about union gas , city, hydro,bell all driving around with laptops on the front seat...iam one of them by the way..and ill continue to use my laptop while working untill the cops stop and the trucker stop using cb's while driving.....thats my rant!

just bought the 32 panasonic viera lcd for the wife's lounge! umm the guy told me that the top 2 are sharp and panasonic he said almost all other brands are made by them anyway something to the like of panasonic bought sony out awile back and now sony is panasonics lower end line made at another factory in some other country other than japan the sharp and panasonic are to only 2 true quality builders that still buils in japan apparently?

I've long been wanting a set of Michelin LTX M+S, but they never seem to go on sale anywhere, always around $250 or more each ..................i couldnt agree more.................i have the bf long trail and havent any problems with them , iam thinking of buying just winter tire's for this winter and put those bf's back on in the spring to last next summer then swap again in fall?? cant decide on tire brand tho ...good thread Jer

oh thanks sinker and north east shark! sinker my house is just a backsplit with attached single bay the cottage portion over bed rooms is done . i just have to do the part over living room and kitchen should be easy , i was just intimidated by the shingle style not the physical work , i just dont want to screw it up..lol it's being since july that i havent heard from john-joe roofer...prick...

thats what iam going to do! ill do it myself with help from a few friends , after reading the iko web site install instructions iam sure i can do it, if i run into any vallley issues ill ask for help here. and GCD i think ill take the cash and head to picton next mth!

looking for someone who has put these on houses before i live in guelph, pay cash, all help will be here, all i need is someone who knows how to install these........... shingles will be handed to you and everything, no major labour no clean up etc...my roofer left on me(paid) ,half roof is done need other half and one bay garge finished, i can get a nail gun if you dont have one , i can do 3 tab but these are different and i didnt watch when he did the first half of the house approx 40 bundles remain, steak and beers included plus some CAKE! .....next wk end or the one after is ok

NEVER i used to go from guelph to cambridge when i was at union gas and i hated it, it was only like 20kms that took 35min one way sucked,sucked,sucked...then jump in a service truck and drive around the city traffic all day...sucked ...now i leave the house at 0700 and iam at work at 0701 finish at 330 and walk thru the door at 331! home based office the only way to go..good luck
