No worries, feel free to ask any questions. I am pretty current with cameras/pictures/photoshop, etc. Don't hesitate to ask! What camera did you get?
-
Perfect solution. That would be the (basic) equivalent to the "save for web" option in photoshop. You also dont have the risk of downloading some unwanted crap! But, if your pocket book can afford it, pick up a copy of Photoshop CS2. Its fantastic! Also, if anyone has a bunch of pictures they want resized, I can help them out. Just email me the picture you want re-sized. PM if you need any help. (I have Photoshop CS2) I could also make your pictures into a nice online photo gallery!

Ha ha ha, thanks! While the senators were the leafs have been . Yet still making big bucks.... So, who is the smarter of the pair?
-
The "save for web" is a Photoshop option. If he/she doesnt have photoshop, then they wont see that choice. As a network administrator/web developer, I am warning you about downloading programs from various websites. That link they sent might be ok, but you never know what your going to get from downloading off the web.

I agree, but targeting OOS bass is doing the opposite of that. Just because you release the fish, doesnt make it ok. So you take a bass off their bed....you want to take a few pictures...in the meantime your boat drifts 30, 40, 50 feet from the bed. How do you know that it will find the bed again, to protect the little ones? If they dont make it back to their bed, then their eggs get eaten.... Doesnt seem like protection to me. We have waited this long to fish for bass, what is another couple weeks???

What program are you using to re-size the pictures?

Actually, I think the Leafs are smarter....they have had a 2 month vacation already, whereas the Senators have worked for the past 2 months, and what did they get out of it? NOTHING! I understand the bitterness coming from the Sens fans, because I too would be bitter if my team CHOKED in 10 straight playoffs!!!!

I was on Clear Lake (joined to Stoney Lake) 2 weeks ago, and got a few BIG smallmouth's while walleye fishing, but didnt get any walleye's at all. From what I hear, its been very tough up there so far. Hey T-bone where are you getting the crappie's? I wouldnt mind a nice feed of them!

OH...just found a page that explains it! Apparently they have changes that were effective starting January 1, 2007. Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass - 4th Sat. in June to Nov. 30 The 4th saturday in June is the 23rd, so BASS OPENS JUNE 23 @ MIDNIGHT!!! 2007 Regulations
-
I am guessing its the last saturday of the month, like the book says, so I would say its the 29th at midnight. it would be dang sweet if it was the week earlier though!

I couldnt believe what I saw in 4 out of 5 games in the Stanley Cup final..... It must have been a new strategy for the sens... All 6 players (at the same time) dropped to the ice with both their hands wrapped around their neck.... Needless to say, their new strategy didn't work out to well! Congrats to Chris Phillips on his 1st Stanley Cup winning goal... (next time Chris, score on your opponents net)

Holy crap! Not a bad catch, at all!!

Canoe Lake has some HUGE smallmouth in it. I have caught numerous smallies around 5 lb in there. Since the water is so clear up there, I recommend light to ultra-light gear with maximum 8 lb test (6 lb being the best choice). The smallie's up there are quite aggressive and tend to school up, so once you find one, chances are you will find a bunch! Small jig's, small spinnerbaits, and slug-go's (fished weightless) are my top 3 choices. Just make sure you have your drag set loose, and hold on tight on tight to your rod! Good luck!

Yet again, the Senators choke in the playoffs. But on a positive note.... congratulations to Chris Phillips for scoring his 1st Stanley Cup winning goal........ (just too bad it was on his own net).

For a unique tasting batter, take your favorite flavour of potato chips, crush them up really fine, and there ya go! Dip the fish in egg first, then roll in the chips. All Dressed chips are an excellent choice!

Hmmmmm.... Maybe I will do a little more homework before I commit to a unit. I will see what the guys at BPS have to say about them.

Oh, I didnt know what the Dual Frequency actually did. I dont need the dual frequency because I am just fishing locally. Maybe I should go with the Lowrance LMS-522C IGPS. That seems to have the 200 kHz transducer on it. I rarely (if ever) fish under bridges, so it wouldnt matter to me if the signal cut out, for the 30 seconds I am under a bridge. Basically, I will be fishing the Southern Ontario area, so the Lowrance LMS-522C IGPS would probably be my best bet. Yes?
-
I wont be tilting the unit very much. It will be mounted right in front of me on the dash, while driving. I usually sit the same way when I am driving, so once I mount it, it is pretty much going to stay put. Not much moving at all. I think I should stick to the internal antenna then.
-
Oh, right on. That makes sense. There will be nothing blocking the signal for the GPS, so I should do with the internal unit?
-
Hey everyone, I am going to a Lowrance fishfinder/GPS unit, but am wondering if I should go with the LMS-527C dumb ass iGPS that has the internal antenna, or go with the LMS-525C dumb ass which has the external antenna. What is the difference between the external vs the internal (besides one being on the outside, lol) antennas? Does one out-perform the other? Which one do you recommend? Thanks in advance for any replies.
-
Ya, from what I have been reading, the Lowrance is the way to go. Never thought about sending it away to get repairs done. That would suck to loose the whole unit for an extended period of time. Luckily I have a portable Eagle that I can hook up if necessary. Thanks again for all the input!
-
Ok, I think I have it narrowed down to 2 units. Lowrance LMS-522C IGPS Sonar/GPS Chartplotter with Built-In GPS+WAAS Antenna ($649.99 US) or the Eagle® FishElite 640C or 642C Color Sonar/Chartplotter ($569.99 US) How do these units compare? Is it worth it to spend the extra $100 and get the lowrance? Which unit uses the best software? How much is the software? Can I get Ontario Lake data on both units? Any feedback is appreciated!

Ya, thats what I planned on doing to see if I can get a couple. Gotta love the bucktails. You went to Stoney, and you didnt see a rock???? Are you sure you were in Stoney??? lol

My cottage is on Clear Lake. Apparently Hell's Gate is a good place for walleyes. Are there any other spots on Clear that typically produce for walleye's?
-
Wow, that is deep! Ya, I will give that a try if all else fails! I am hoping that I can locate some weedlines, and see if I can't pull a couple out of there with cranks and jigs. Last I heard, the weeds are still pretty low, but hopefully high enough to locate the edges.
