  1. I ordered this mud flap from from Cabellas last year and it does a great job of keeping the stones off the boat & trailer. Hooks onto the hitch and is very simple to attach and remove from the truck.
  2. We'll be down in November as always George, it's a trip I look forward to all year.
  3. The exact reason I spend so much time up there Kevin
  4. Flying in an airplane, you've got a pretty good chance of surviving the trip unless it crashes. Falling into rough water, fully clothed, without a life jacket and unable to swim, your chances aren't quite as good.
  5. Congrats on the new ride Rob, you got a good one.
  6. I've had Top Gun on my last 2 boats and it's an excellent product. Lasts for years and still looks good. If I was leaving my boat outside for the winter under a pile of snow, I wouldn't be using my expensive cover for it though. I'd store the cover in the house and spend the money on a shrinkwrap and then you've got nothing to worry about. A good cover is gonna cost you some serious money and I'd hate to see it get stretched under the weight of a heavy load of snow. But, that's just my opinion.
  7. Even Torontonians hate Toronto Boss
  8. Pic was taken after a rainfall, I just WISH it looked that good
  9. Yeah, it turned out pretty nice Shane, took me a couple days to install it but it's well worth it.
  10. I've got a 50' X 12' pressure treated deck with a 16' bump-out at one end and have just finished installing new aluminum railings all around and down the stairs. Now I'm thinking of some type of stain, but with it being so big I don't want to get into re-doing the darned thing every couple years and am also thinking perhaps just go with a good commercial cleaner instead.
  11. That's some excellent pictures Joey, specially the one with the bird in a hard right turn, looks like he just spotted supper

    Friendly swan

It was unbelievable how friendly this guy was Joey, he swam right up to me and even walked up on the rock beside me, not a foot away and hung around for at least an hour, then came back for a visit the next couple days.

    Friendly swan

I think it's OK Art as long as we don't have any swan hunters around here

    Friendly swan

I spent last week up at the West Arm of Nippissing and while sitting near the water one day eating a samich a swan wandered by and decided she'd like a bite too. Nice to spend time up close & personal with one of Mother Natures prettiest critters.
  16. I think you nailed it Dave, I undid the connectors in the 1st box and re-tightened them and everything is now working as it should. The neighbor down the road is an electrician so I'm gonna get him to double check it. Thanks for the help Dave, muchly appreciated !!
  17. Outside GFCI is OK Dave, I checked it, this switch is definitely on the same curcuit breaker as the kitchen lights. There's another switch right beside this one on the same circuit and it works fine.
  18. Hey guys, I've got 3 lights on my back deck and all of a sudden they no longer work. The switch is inside the house. The circuit breaker for the outside lights also handles the kitchen lights and was the 1st thing I checked and it's fine. I changed the bulbs and their all good so I figured perhaps the switch is gone so I replaced it with a new one and still nothing works. While changing the switch I checked all connections in the box and everything is tight. I don't have a tester and I'm not an electrician. Where do I go from here ??
  19. There's a very good reason that everyone recommends Spiels custom rods.
  20. What a crock that is if it's true. It was a Legend Tournament that I got from Gagnons too, maybe for my next rod I'll go back to Shimano.
  21. Some of their prices are pretty good too. I bought another musky rod from them a year ago and it was around $60 cheaper than the SAIL store just across the hiway.
  22. And always remember, you don't need to catch a fish to have a great day of fish'n
  23. Good to hear I'm not the only one
  24. jeeez, I don't even remember sending it
  25. If it was me I'd just wrap the bottle in a towel and put it in the boat where it's easily accessible if need be. Only takes 30 seconds to hop up on the boat fender and undo a couple clips to get the bottle if need be and it eliminates any worries or hassle with having it in the truck.
