Need some help with this statement from a 1999 Lund boat catalogue . States that a Lund Pro Sport .063 freeboard .08 hull .08 twin plate. Does this mean from bow to maybe mid point of the boat has 2 x .08 thick plates of aluminum? ​For a total of 1.6 thickness for the bottom? Thanks

Alone in the boat with a full tank of gas lol. Hole shot was incredible fast and plained of very quickly. Top speed and that's not pushing the rpm's or revving the engine crazy... 35mph. For a Lund 1625 Sport that was fast enough. These boats are only rated for 75hp max. I am no expert on Outboards but, the prop on the Mercury is huge. Something you would see on a 115 hp for sure. I don't know why some people would hasitate to install these outboards on their v -hulls. No problem here.

Stabilizer in the fuel for sure right? And run it through the engine.

Thanks Adam. I will try to see if I can take it for a water test tomorrow. Solid outboards that's for sure. Made to take a lot of beating on the water. But, I always thought they were made more for pontoons and utility boats. People that will use them in lakes that have lots of rocks, weeds, drift wood etc.

I am not buying to resell this boat. I am keeping this for myself. Its a Lund and in great shape all around. Fits in my garage which is a bonus, but not sure about the Big Foot outboard on the back.

I just wanted to get some opinion from the board members that are running Mercury 4 stroke Big Foot on their aluminum or fibber glass boats. Or anyone else that has knowledge on these outboards. I am thinking of buying a 2009 Lund Rebel 1625 Sport Full Windshield rated for 75hp, that has a 2008 Mercury 60hp 4 stroke EFI Big Foot on it. I know the lower gear cases are bigger on these outboards 2.33 . Also the shaft length is longer by a 2.5" I think. Anyways, will I be happy with this outboard on the Lund? I am thinking the hole shot will be excellent because of the torque but will it strugle at top speed ? Any opinions on this! Thanks to all.

Great boats. 2XB plated. Just as good if not better, as any other top quality boat. Many sellers don't have the time to take potential buyers for a test run. It does not mean they are hiding something. Just look over the hull really good and if the boat has been well kept it will show. Also, get something in writing that the boat is safe and sound. As for the motor, check it good. Hear it run and let it warm up good. The price is fair for that package. Be ready, you will have 13% tax on the price.

Do yourself research and don't rush. We have awesome boat dealers here in Ontario.

$8500 US with current exchange is what? Close to $9500 Canadian Plus your 13% tax at the boarder. $300 for trailer RIV, Gas money. Carpet repair cost . Plus the unknown issues? I think you could have done better here at home. Just my two cent !

As for the boats coming from the US, they simply collect the tax (13%) at the boarder. No way around that. Never lie on your purchase price if you do bring one in. Always, tell the truth because fines are huge. They will investigate if they feel that you have lied to them.

It's a local boat, not from the USA. I am going to separate the package fairly and submit it that way. Will see.
