Nice fish!!
Gord Pyzer is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, I hope your notebook was out.

Good to hear you weren't hurt! Who cares about the boat, it can be either fixed or replaced.
Yuma huh, I've got a buddy who moved down there and is a teacher and a soccer coach. He hates visits in the winter now, the poor guy is wearing a coat, sweater, longjohns etc.... INSIDE THE HOUSE!!! when he comes up to see family/friends.

Nice 'ski for a first!!! Remember the boy scout motto when fishing 'be prepared'. Fishing for walleye and nailing a nice 'ski.........PRICELESS!!
-
After eating at the Husky in Cochrane last summer, I'd say stay away!!!
Marino's on the side of 17 in Marathon is pretty good, we stayed at his hotel/motel/no-tell a couple of years ago on the way to Kenora. Further up there's a Robin's Donuts/KFC if I'm not mistaken but the name of the town escapes me.
Nice shot of Betty Lou. Was it her that took down the Moose??

I'd second the Curado 300DSV, it's small, light and is built to battle big fish and it has pretty decent line capacity. It's about $300 or so but if you want just one reel...........

NICE!!!!

Congratulations!!!! I have 2 rug rats of my own and last week my brother's wife gave birth to triplets so welcome to the lack of sleep club!!! (but it is soooo worth it, they are too damned cute).

That fish looks familiar!!! LOL
Beauty!!

Possibly a site for an OFC meet'n'greet next year????

I can hear Dueling Banjos now.................
TJ, the 180 will do the job quite nicely (with either a 30-06 or a 300 Win Mag). You don't need more than that. Make sure you spend the little bit extra and buy the top-shelf factory loads. They'll be worth it in penetration and down range ballistics. Have fun, I'm green with envy.

MONSTERS!!!!! Run for your lives!!!!
Jeez, those are very, very nice 'skis!!! I've heard stories from a reliable source about the Larry and now I am seeing actual proof. I guess if you really want size AND numbers, that's the place to go!!!
Congrats on your PBs.
-
My sincerest condolences to you and your family.

Nice 'ski!!!!
Quite an adrenalin rush getting one of them in the boat isn't it??!!
-
I think Lew has it down to a couple of hundred casts.
Nice Fish!!!!

Pop by Tightlines on Brock rd in Pickering. They've got a pretty good selection. Quantum, Shimano, St Croix, Fenwick, etc... would all be around your price range. Find one that you like.
Good Luck!!!
BTW, keep outfishing your hubby!!!

Nice 'ski and beauty 'eye!!!!

Check out JBs, they have a few nice nets. They are open till 9 I believe.
And they have a HUGE selection of spinnerbaits and bucktails for Muskie. It seems that Brian is catching the Muskie bug these days.

Yup!! The Greenback is now the new Monopoly money.
I guess the lineups at the border will be pretty long now with everyone going cross border shopping.
And more Canadian workers will be losing their jobs because of the strong currency as well as a few fishing lodges will probably be closing as it's getting very pricey for americans to come north to fish.
-
Jeez, tough crowd!! Lew is just expressing his own thoughts. To someone fishing muskie, a couple of hundred feet is not a lot of space, for perchers and wally hunters (not to mention salmon guys fishing from a pier) it seems like tons of space.
-
Spend the money on the elimination/control of the invasive species. At this rate, pretty much every northern fishing lodge will go out of business because it's too expensive for our American friends to come up now with the loonie approaching parity with the greenback.

Great commercial!! I don't get WFN cuz I can't be bothered to get digital or satellite tv. I'd become a total couch potato. I'm still in the stone ages with basic cable at home.
-
Congrats!! Nice lookin' fish!

The boyz are having fun and that's what counts the most.

Actually, don't knock Suzuki marine engines. My Father in law had one that he used and abused for 20 years before it pooched. Not much by way of maintanence and it ran strong until he left the boat in LOTW over the winter, in the spring the boat was under the ice and the motor was ruined.
Another wonderful day to be alive..

NICE!! I hope you guys rubbed slime all over the boat so it can attract more 'skis!!
That's service by the way, buy a trolling motor and have it installed for no extra charge.
