  1. Been coming here for over 30 years and this is the worst I have seen it. B y the time I met up with crappieperchunter I was so fed up with 4 inch perch. I caught them in every hole I drilled from 4 feet of water to 14 feet. Disgusting!Only saw or heard of three groups of people getting some walleye. It was like a war zone out there with 100-150 people scattered around the bay at Goreskis. From what I have seen here in the last three years on the ice and in the boat, the walleye fishery is done on Scugog unless something is done like maybe closing down the ice fishing for a while.
  2. the picture is of my 15 year old daughter and I holding the banner with some other kiss fanatics in front of the General Motors Centre!
  3. Went to the KISS concert in Oshawa with my family. My daughter and I dressed up a bit for the show. What an amazing spectacle. We were on the floor in the second row centerstage right in front of Paul Stanley.Even though it was a smaller venue they do not hold back one bit,Explosions, confetti, blood, breathing fire, flaming guitars, wire acts were all included .SHWA ROCK CITY will never be the same again!
  4. Awesome concert, except for the power outage in the first song. KISS rocked the ACC with a few new surprises to their arsenal. I am looking forward to the show at GENERAL MOTORS CENTRE in Oshawa. I am taking my daughter and we are in the second row! i also have a couple of single tickets left for this show. If interested please e-mail me.
  5. I have fished Port Hope for over 30 years. It still continues to be one of the best spots in Southern ontario. You have to pick your days and just get in there with the rest of the crowd. It really isn't that bad. I come from Oshawa and wouldn't waste my time at Thomas street as there are 3-5 people at each hole when the fish are in. At least at Port Hope you have lots of area to fish. I am glad a lot of steelheaders don't go there all the more fish for me!
  6. Maybe you guys should try sleeping in and do the afternoon bite at that particular lake.My nephew does well there most afternoons from 300 til dark. I was out near crappieperchunter on Saturday. I did not walk out as far as that was the worst walk out this year.
  7. These yellow worms are also found in the occasional walleye. I fish in the Kawarthas and you do find them in the flesh to a smaller extent. As so they do not affect the table quality of the fish.
  8. John was an awesome steelheader in the 70's and eighties but I think the crowds drove him away. I see him usually in the spring at one of our perch hotspots as he is quite a fanatic of panfish.
  9. There has been a few good days there but not lately. Pm me for details.
  10. You are going to wrong rivers at the wrong time! Out east has been good almost every time I get out. I refuse to post anymore since some remarks about pictures. The funny thing is I have had awesome days out east even this weekend and there are not many people around where I have been fishing.
  11. I was down there checking out the water early Sunday morning and got spooked when a shady looking woman came out from the bikepath and waved at me to pull over. Let's just say I did not stop and kept driving up Thomas hill!
  12. Too bad some people on this board have to be negative sometimes I don't think this is what this board is all about. There are some people on this board whom I know directly who would vouch for this namely crappieperchunter, fishunter, beans, photoz, buckster and ron.
  13. May talk crappieperchunter into coming with me Friday as he is off Thursday and Friday.I sent a member of the board an open invite on the weekend but did not get any response.
  14. Got out on the weekend out east. Got out late on Saturday and hit one small steelhead as the water too dirty by 1100 am. Sunday got out at first light and hit 6 lber right away and that was it. Moved on farther out east, taking my time and found some water that didn't look too bad. Nothing for the first two hours and then they turned on til dark getting 7 fresh-run steelhead up to 8 lbs. Monday I got out in the afternoon to another eastern trib and from 100 pm to 500pm landed 15 out of 23 fish with the biggest being around 12 lbs. When I figure out my daughter's digital camera I may take some pictures of exceptional fish, but not really into pictures, don't want to give away these well known locations. Contrary to what some may believe these popular locations were not really that crowded especially Monday when I didn't see a person for the first two hours.
  15. I dare you to come out east and do that! Maybe on monday and tuesday.
  16. In my teenage years, a buddy and were in downtown Toronto and we just happened to see the debut of Teenage Head at the Picadilly Tube on Yonge Street. The bar has just reopened after renovations.
  17. Daiwa. Ihave one older Regal series. 4 of the SS 1500 Tournament series ,one Exceler and one of the new Team Daiwa Advantage. From everything to walleye, perch crappie, bass and steelhead. None of these reels were overly expensive. The best selection is at Bass Pro Shops!
  18. I know this will raise some eyebrows but I personally do not like carp. they overrun lakes and are disgusting looking. The reason more people fish for carp is because in a lot of these places there are not a lot of species of gamefish to be caught except carp. Did you ever try to eat one? Thinning them out will not hurt anything and if those carp that are in the states ever get into our waterways then our fishery may be destroyed.
  19. My dad and I fish up there starting around this time of year. We go out in the early morning for a few hours or the same in the evening. Try to find some weedlines in about 4-6 feet of water and also large weed pockets. We use yellow or chartreuse 3 inch twister tails on a 1/8 or 1/4 ounce jighead. The shoreline along Goreski's and around the mouth of the Nonquon is good.We just putt along with the electric motor and follow the weedlines and are basically flipping out the jigs.
  20. Sorry to contradict some of you guys, but could not find anything shallow at Stoney on Sunday, but 5 half decent walleye in 51 feet of water vertical jigging with a 3 inch yellow tail tipped with a a worm. Steve alias crappieperchunter you know where we were if you are reading this!
  21. I was at Littles but did not go out for walleye, got some beautiful crappie off the dock on Friday. We were cut short by the car accident involving my sister's daughter as in my previous post. This really put a damper on this weekend and most of this week. Am going up with my dad on the weekend if everything goes well.
  22. I am sure a few of you saw the coverage of the accident down towards Warkworth where three young girls were killed in a car accident Friday evening.Well I was awakened Saturday morning by a knock on the door of my trailer and looking out I see it is my nephew Mark. I find out that my sister's daughter was involved in that accident where a transport truck t-boned the car and all three girls were dead at the scene. Not a very way to start off the weekend.
  23. Was up at my trailer on the weekend at littles just across from pine vista. Got up late Saturday morning and got a couple of walleye and ran into a small school of big crappie. My nephew was on the water at first light and had their limit of walleye by 900 am. Went out again Sunday and got one walleye and the wind came up awful. We found a fairly sheltered bay and caught some more big crappies. Will be up there on the long weekend from Friday to Monday. Send me a pm if you like.
