    what a start to the new year, water line frozen, wife p.o d at that (and me for not being a plumber to fix it) 2 warning lights on in my NEW dodge ram and the dealer is 215km away. temp was -40 this morning on the drive home and i no sooner started my first coffee of the day when the wife starts giving directions on hauling water from the neighnbours.

    got a shock the other day, stepped on the scale and discovered that in the 37 weeks that i haven't smoked, i've gained 28 pounds.

      So the question is,are you better for it?

      My pop quit,and put the weight on big time.

      How many years will it save you all? It,s a tough battle,that has effects no matter.

      yeah, when I quit smoking I packed on 4 lbs, sure made me think about starting back up

      seems like quitting smoking means hitting the bottle harder, thats where I put my weight on. Now im in between smoking still and just fat...sucks

    went out for 2 hours this morning, got 3 saugers, 5 walleye and a northern. looks like the fish are getting tired of eating may flies

    finally got some open water in our bay, its about half open but the wind tomorrow is supposed to change from the west to the east and it will blow the ice right back in on us.

    finally getting rid of the ice in the river by my boat launch, maybe get to wet a line tomorrow.

    the snow finally melted in the yard and now they are calling for another 5 to 10 cm today , what a bummer

    it was +8 an hour ago, now it's +5 and we got a full blown snowstorm with whiteout conditions on the lake
