  1. Very good points from everyone... My concern is the effect that all the sunscreen is going to have on our children in 10 or so years. Global warming aside, the products that we use on our bodies and our childrens have got to have some adverse effects... even though we are trying to protect them, long term are we doing the right thing.

( not to mention the bug spray, moisturizers, deodorants, hair products, soap etc... )

  2. Hey G,

If you want to try out xm radio for the next week or so, pm me... I have one that isn't being used, and atleast then you will have an idea of what it is like before you spend the money!

    Cheers, Jen

Ok.... seeing as how I am commuting to work on a daily basis (45 minutes one way) I am getting tired of the amount of commercials I am hearing on the way to and from work infact I am getting extremely annoyedmore then 50% of my time driving ends up listening to commercials!.. I have made a ton of CD's but then I cant get traffic reports etc... unless I go back to the radio at exactly the right time.... ARGH! did I mention I hate the amount of commercials they air? worse then TV!!!

So.... I am thinking about Satellite Radio... as they have commercial free music (YAY!) a huge variety of Genres

and I can get traffic reports easily...(I take the 407 BTW)

    So my question is....

    Sirius or XM?

I am leaning towards Sirius for Howard Stern... but XM has alot more NHL games vs. sirius...

    Your thoughts?

  3. Wow,

Thank you for all the quick replies and friendly welcomes. I was thinking about trout fishing in some of the local rivers and streams, but not too sure on which ones are good, or which ones will even have trout in them. I heard that its trout spawning time pretty soon, so I was looking on getting in the action. I've been told a place called hidden valley is pretty good, if anyone has heard of it, any info on it would be nice. Any whoo, I look forward to seeing and hearing from yall again soon. Take care, and tahnks again.

  4. Welcome to the board...There is a lot of water around Hamilton, try out the old train bridge off York, or the point. Probaby bump into you a time or two as the weather gets better. I am the mom, yelling at her kids to cast into the water, not at one another. LOL

Enjoy the OFC family, I certainly do!

    Cheers

Sorry, but I don't think my comments were out of line. Having a pet is like parenting in a sense and everyone has different approaches, therefore I believe I am entitled to my opinion. The original comments that were posted along with the pictures were removed so that had a lot of bearing on my post.

    Graftongal,

No worries, everyone is entitled to their opinion... and yours counts!

You just viewed it differently than it was intended.

Please be assured that at no time was Tucker (thats my dogs name) ever in any danger of being hurt, nor did I mean to imply that. The post was out of interest to see who has dogs that swim and who has dogs that don't. I was shocked when he stepped out of the paddle boat, as he had played on shore in the water all week. I am the parent of three children, as well as have had many pets who are members of my family. I love them very much and would never let anything happen to them I assure you. It is hard to know someone through posts... however I understand your thoughts and words in regards to animals, they were out of concern and caring. Which is why I took the humourous wording out of my post.

    Cheers,

    Jen
