usually if you fish a river ... a 3/8 os jighead /trailer ... worm .. chartreuse ,light pink or white jigs are a safe bet. if yer fishin lake with clear water light colored 5/16 jigs tipped with 2" 3" shiner works well . if yer fishin stained lakes.. chartreuse/orange 3/8 jigs tipped with ared or yellow dace minnow works well too. if fishin's slow try a lindy rig type set up .. with a minnow or a worm.. and if the water is warm enough you can even try a leech.. although it's still pretty early for leeches. i'll be putting my tips to the test this weekend. GOOD LUCK!! hope i've been of some help. p.s try casting a big Rapala over your spot before using live bait.. it usually produces more active and bigger fish..if they're there especially in a river. Lake Tomiko north of Sturgeon Falls... is very good on may long weekend... camp at moose piont good launch.. room for a tent ... pike, walleye... good lake if you have a smaller boat... stay off thr Tomiko River it's sanctuary 'til June 1st.. Good Fishin'

try slowing down your retreive that happened to me last week when i was in Burlington... downsize your lure a little Cleo red/gold worked well for me... don't ask me where we were my bro took me.. i don't know..but i could see the bridge it was south of me i was on the Burlington side 2 hrs fishing = 1 x31" 1x26" 1x23 1/2 " it might work for you.. p/s add a white twister to your little cleo

Try Tech-Steel works great i keep in my tackle box... 2 part epoxy putty.sticks to anything. but try replacing the rivets it's not very hard... 24rivets = 2 beer then wash it down with "gun wash" or silicone remover let dry and apply a roll on bedliner for trucks problem solved! I did it on my 12 footer last spring has'nt leaked yet.. Tech Steel available @ Benson Auto Parts ,, Auto Parts Extra ,, or any automotive place. but do use the Beartex scuff pads the grey ones before applying any sealant for proper adhesion if you do go the Rivet route seal it anyway.
