  1. Thanks garfisher. A few of my co-workers mentioned Erie and St. Claire. Seems like you can find anything in those water bodies.
  2. Should have changed my pick in the Boston Ottawa series to The refs in 6. Apparently in that series they thought people were buying playoff tickets to see them.
  3. Ohio, that is a really good question. I don't think so but I will check my ID books tonight.
  4. All fish gotta start from the egg at sometime. I've heard a lot of people catching Common and Golden off of the fly, on super light tackle. One guy even had a slip float setup to get em for his forage fish collection for College. Such a cool idea. I find commons and goldens are super versatile for all sorts of fish. On Quinte over the summer, my buddy and I will tie a 4-6 incher on to a egg sinker with a circle hook, toss it as far into the bay as we can, sit on the dock with a few beers and watch the bass, pike and sheephead hammer em.
  5. Good on ya for calling the Preds. I had Caps in 6 = caps in 6 Pens in 5 = pens in 5 New York in 7 = NY in 6 Boston in 7= Ottawa in 6 Chicago in 5 = Nash in 4 Minnesota in 6 = StL in 5 Anaheim in 5 = Anh in 4 Edmonton in 6.= EDM in 6 5 for 8 on the teams. And surprisingly I got 3 of the series lengths right. Next round for me is: Edmonton in 6 Nashville in 6 New York in 5 Pittsburgh in 7
  6. That's what they said about Asian carp in Lake Ontario.
  7. Could have gotten away with saying emerald shiner = 1. Golden shiner or common shiner is 2. also great for pike and larger fish.
  8. This is also why I'm huge against OOS bass fishing and why I feel bad whenever I nab one in May.
  9. Anything in too high a quantity is usually never great. And that is correct. Gobies love the eggs of other fish.
  10. Closed off lake. Thank goodness. No recorded sightings according to the map. Looks like just a warning.
  11. If Hollywood wrote hockey, Ovie would win the cup this year, leave the Caps. Go to Russia and win a gold in the 2018 Olympics.
  12. Its hard to argue either of those points. I think a players second season is the hardest in the NHL because other teams have had a year to study them and are no longer surprised by what they can do. Hopefully not all 3 of Matthews, Marner and Nylander have the sophomore slump. I'll be happy if the Leafs make a similar run next year that they did to this year. Then year 3 will be with the fireworks start. Ottawa may have beat the Rangers in the season series, but Lundquvist had probably his worst regular season on record. He has really turned it on in the playoffs. This round for Ottawa, winning is not a chicken I would count. In the West, call me a homer. I really like Edmonton and would love to see McDavid take the torch by force from Crosby in the finals.
  13. Yeah....... except that is the complete opposite of what happened. I think the Pens will still win because Crosby seems to be Ovetchkin's kryptonite but the Leafs stepped up their game 200%. Ottawa had better hope Lundquvist gets cold real quick or 0 could be their new favourite number.
  14. My conspiracy theory spidey sense is tingling. He received good news that he was acquitted (probably the best news he has heard in years) then commits suicide. Anyone wonder if he did it so that the family could receive a big payday? He knew he was going down on the second charges and his lawyer told him so, explained the loophole so he took his own life to give his family a big payday.
  15. Is there a list online or a way to check which lakes different invasive species have been found in? Most specifically Round Goby. This year, for the first time ever there was a sign at the public boat launch of the lake that my parents have their cottage on warning of Round Goby and not to dump your bait bucket. My dad and I are wondering if that is because they got into the lake or if it is a preventative measure.
  16. What a great series. 2 wins. 5 OT games. All 6 decided by 1 goal. For a team that came dead last in 2016 it doesn't get much better then this. Keep up the good work boys.
  17. If the Sens are smart, next year they will trade their entire roster for Justin Williams and Tom Wilson before playoff time. Geez those two have been clutch.
  18. I thought you were going to say his next of kin had to serve the rest of the sentence. Just like Bane in Batman.
  19. Same. Talk about shock of the payoffs. And in 4! Holy smokes.
  20. Good lad right here. ^^^^ Bass on the Maitland were the first softwater fish my girlfriend had ever caught and they were good size. At first she was sad that we couldn't take pics but rules are important. She'll catch more this summer.
  21. Nice. Much to my disappointment they were aggressive in the Maitland as well last Monday. Was going for steelhead but I couldn't keep the smallies off the roe.
