  1. BUMP! Everyone should write a little something.
  2. Awesome! I'm more than a little jealous...
  3. I never really got into fishing until after I was married. Fished a few times as a kid, but nothing real serious. Having young kids can slow things down quite a bit. Just ask me when I was at the gym last..... But now that my kids are getting a bit older(daughter almost 5, son 3), I take them fishing with me fairly often. I'm out usually out a couple times a week, and take one of the kids with me half the time, even though they're only up to it for an hour or so. Often if I take one of the kids with me, I don't even bring my own rod. I just help them learn to fish.
  4. Last time I looked in my MNR regs booklet, it listed corn as the recommended bait for Carp...
  5. Nice laker! I ate one just like it this past weekend!
  6. I'm not real familiar with Guelph lake, but I'll welcome you anyway!
  7. Was it badly pitted at all? A lot of the time, the rotor will rust badly, especially with the Magnesium Chloride on the roads now. The bad rotor will chew up the pad pretty quickly. It's more common on the rear though...
  8. What did the rotor look like??
  9. Awesome report! Now I'm itching to go Salmon fishing...
  10. That's horrible. I can't even imagine how it must be for that family, and what that little guy went through. My son turns 3 on Wednesday... I also will be rooting for the Sens for the rest of this season. Mike Fisher is truly a class act.
  11. Welcome! I'm also from the K-W area!
  12. If you're trolling, check out the fish seeker. I've used them a couple times with success. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...p;currentPage=0
  13. Funny! I just bought the EXACT SAME COMBO a couple weeks ago!! The reel (Procaster Tounament 100iL) was at BPS for $39.99, and the rod (6'6" M)was $24.88. I couldn't pass that up! I haven't even spooled it up yet, but it's good to hear some positive feedback.
  14. The one I bought is the "Buzz Ramsey". Nice rod for the money imo.
  15. Welcome Barn! I'm pretty new myself, but enjoying my stay so far.
  16. I just did almost the same thing with one of my spinning reels. One spool got 14lb Fireline Crystal, the other got 10lb Trilene XT(the orange one...'cause it's what I had here ) I haven't used the Fireline yet, but my bro-in-law swears by it so I figured I'd better try it.
  17. Sweet! That's right close to me! I'll have to check them out.
  18. Nevermind. Apperently I am on the mailing list. Mine was in the mailbox when I got home.
  19. Not a real big one. Probably a foot or so. Lots of action for my sister though!
  20. Sweet. Thanks. BTW, how do I go about getting it mailed to my house??
  21. I can't find it on the website.... But I'm computer dumb...
  22. Well, I've been back from Florida for a week a week or so now, but this is the first chance I've had to write this up. I just sold my house, so it has kept me pretty busy lately. Anyway, we only got out on the water for one day (other than fishing the pond at the RV park...). We chartered a 24' pontoon boat in Cocoa Beach and fished the Banana River for 4 hours one afternoon. The action was pretty slow though with a cold front just moving out. Saw some nice Sheepheads under a couple docks, but they spooked too easily for us to catch them. We moved on to the bridge by the highway and caught several "Grunts" as our guide called them by the support girders, as well as a nice Sea Trout that was 1" under the 15" limit size. My 15 year old sister had a Stingray on, but it spit the hook coming out of the water. It still made her day though... All in all, a pretty good day, and my first time salt-water fishing. Even though we didn't catch much, it was still great to be out on the water in the middle of February. Sorry, no pictures...I forgot my camera. Thanks! Mark
