  1. The name is so household in the music world.......so repeated, im serious when i tell you i heard a kid (teenager) at Guitar Center one night say to his friend...... "Wait, what....Les Paul was a person. I thought it was just the name of the guitar like Ibanez or epiphone" lol.

no thats an Atlantic...........(sorry inside joke, you'll catch on soon as this one is regurgitated about once a week)
  3. thats the one.........the resolution seems to have taken a downturn though for some reason
  4. take a look at some of the close ups of the above image at the mouth of the cattaraugus Catt flood
  5. The eastern basin of the big E. is getting pretty messy from the floods on the southshore. As if it hasnt been tough enough out there already.
  6. Your original response to "Lake of a million walleye" OOZED a tone quite different than.... "I'm good with the choice of Solo not to divulge the location/outfitter." That report deserved a heckuva lot more than the taste of.........."so wheres this lake at, whatta u afraid someones gonna fish there too" The time it took them to document the report amidst all the hard work they put in, dirty, sweatin, wind, weather etc......upload all of the images onto a photo server once at the comforts of home, arrange all the photo links in sequence to compose a report.........narrate the whole story, .......just so i can take a look and witness it. Deserves a whole lot more than a complaint. Wasting space on the forum with idle congrats? Thats just someones way of saying, hey, i took the time to look at your report and just wanted to acknowledge the work you put into it. Expressing a gripe about someones hard work to share something that I've never experienced is in my opinion, the waste of space. I dont care how many posts someone has, as long as one of them isnt one with an ingrateful tone.
  7. Good Point............so theres no reason to know where it is
  8. No explanation needed on my end. Its funny, but i never even thought to ask where you were lol. Its funny how most that get upset about lack of details are the ones that just came to the forum with a handful of posts.
  9. congrats handyman...........dont know how ya both did it in this day and age.
  10. Man, that was a great report.........the kids make it

  12. down here western new york...........we had two major thurnderstorms roll thru yesterday. The cattaraugus (as many of you may recognize for its steelhead ) is a mess. Boats floating off the mouth into the lake and washing up on shore down the lake (erie), lot of housing damage, state of emergency in some areas..........it rose 5 feet in literally minutes according to the news. One death so far from what ive read.

  14. i may have missed it, but was their an outpost cabin at the backlake you trekked to? Or did you bring tent gear with as you portaged to the back lake. I dunno if i woulda given up the cabin on the main lake for 5 days lol Ok, i went thru and looked at your pics again, yeah.......id give up the cabin, oh and the shower LOL
  15. I envy your lifestyle guys...........it would be nice to have a network of guys that actually "does" instead of just talks about doing lol. I need to find friends like you guys!
  16. I have a solid backplate, and its a rare occasion that i bind up on a piece of grit. Now iced up tips, thats a different story lol
  17. You know your going to buy it anyway no matter what the answer is in your thread..........heck, its a piece of fishing gear. Just buy it, put it next to all your others and keep your eye out for the next "extra rod" youll run into
  18. That looks like a perfect weekend, aside from the bugs. And I know what you mean about having a cabin with a view of the boat...........its the ultimate in rest and relaxation.......dock the boat turn the key off and step on the front porch. No loading and unloading of gear every time its lunch time. And no worries of waves slamming your ride into the dock is even more comforting. It allows for complete......worry free .....relaxation. And im sorry, but of all your pics......i find this is the most georgeous of them all. Im sure you just sat back a time or two on the front porch just saying to yourself........WOW, i cant believe that beautiful thing is mine You are a VERY LUCKY couple to be able to attain something like that. I can only dream for now.........but someday i hope to replace my vessel with the latest version of that very boat. Its absolutely beautiful.
  19. Thanks Terry.......They are already boxed in by virtue of being inside the back seats pretty tightly , so i think ill concentrate my efforts on the next issue in line. Always something to focus on when theres a boat in the garage
