limeyangler Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Made it out from 2pm till 4pm, actually made it out by 1pm but had to take some time to check the ice as i'd not been to this lake so far this year. There was 13" in the access bay but that always freezes first so I walked all the way to where it opens out to the main body and there was around 8"....good to go! Bite didn't start till 3pm. I missed a bunch and landed a few in a fun hour, they were definitely hitting the plastics with more enthusiasm than live minnows. We have a storm rolling in here so I left before dark as it was already whiteout conditions and I did not want to navigate 10 miles of unstated lakes in the dark in a blizzard, glad I left when I did as it was 5 feet visibility all the way back.
