Nice fish. Not a tiger, just a very pretty, young, everyday muskie.

Tiger muskie have more rounded tails with loads of spotting, and more spotting on the dorsal and ventral fins as well. Compare the deeply forked tail on your fish to the more rounded, broader tail on this tiger muskie. You can click the pic to make it bigger.

The vertical bar markings tend to look more hollow on tiger muskies, but this varies widely. The tail is a pretty reliable indicator though.

Agreed it looks to be a pure breed musky. The tigers have often lots of spots often, they are beautiful fish. Shown a couple of nice tigers. BTW they fight like devils. I've thought they outfight fight the pike or musky pound for pound.
