For all those eagerly awaiting the solution to my problem, I figured I would update my original post to show the repair. All good.

 Hi All,

This may be an old topic, but I am looking for advice on how to repair a broken rod. (Not the Tip- mid blank).  I'm assuming I need to use a ferrule splice and then epoxy it in?  Any better solutions?  Any idea where to buy the ferrules?
