niedmanns Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 I will be heading out this weekend for the Bay of Quinte (Picton area). First time there for Walleye. Does anyone have any tackle recommendations? Any other info would be greatly appreciated as well.
Headhunter Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 Go to Big Bay and troll small crank baits as close to the bottom as possible. Troll the length of the bay, downwind with planer boards and you'll do ok! HH
tonyb Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 For the most up to date information in the area, try reaching Sam at Carra Outdoors. He will also carry all the hot local baits and techniques, it will be worth your time to pay him a visit. Here is a link to one of his threads with store directions: http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...ic=6629&hl= Enjoy! Tony
easton13th Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 Spinners and crank baits. Opener they were hitting on twister tails as well. All within 8 to 10 feet of water. Easton
snackpack5150 Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 Hi we and I mean my wife and I have had great luck using a Rapala crawdad SR5 in 14 to 18 feet of water and using the same but a SR7 in water 2o plus deep of course using your finder will deterim what depth they are at. Fished the east side from Picton launch passed McFarland park and had good luck. Try the same just north near the bouys. Good luck and play safe Ken
