Niagara river shore fishing

Hey guys,

Does anyone know where there is shore access to the Niagara river? Im not looking for anybodys "spot" just a way to get down there, preferably on north stretch of the river. Ive heard there is a set of stairs that takes you right down there but Ive never found out exactly where it is.

Has anybody else heard of these stairs?

Two spots to get down: The whirlpool and the glen. The whirlpool is the classic fishing hole.
