Colin Marshall Posted May 7, 2011 Author Report Posted May 7, 2011 Welcome aboard! Hi Dusky, Great to meet you and many thanks for the kind welcome. Colin.
Colin Marshall Posted May 7, 2011 Author Report Posted May 7, 2011 welcome dude, would love to see some pics of your catches if available. It's funny how carp and cats are the primary target over there while pike, walleye and bass are secondary. Quite the opposite here. You should have no problem finding good carp fishing or fishing in general in your area. Best of luck Hi, Many thanks for the warm welcome and its great to meet you. Will post some more pics of the cats and carp over the weekend. Your right, Carp especially are fished for heavily in Europe as well as the Cats where as over here its totally the reverse. I'm looking forward to getting in to some Bass, Pike, Walleye, Trout and Salmon as and when I can. Colin.
Colin Marshall Posted May 7, 2011 Author Report Posted May 7, 2011 Welcome aboard Colin Hi Chris, Many thanks for your kind welcome and its great to meet you. Colin.

Joey Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Welcome Colin, we live not too far from you in Richmond Hill. The closest places that we fish are Lake Simcoe or Lake Ontario. The Kawartha's are not too far east either. We're not much into the cat or carp fishing but there are alot of members who are and I'm sure you'll get all the info you need from them. Welcome to Canada and welcome aboard, Joey

Colin Marshall Posted May 9, 2011 Author Report Posted May 9, 2011 Welcome aboard Colin as others have said welcome to Canada also. You have alot of great fishing in your backyard and as others have said the locals will get you out for sure. If your ever heading down to the Chatham (between London and Windsor) area please drop me a line we might be able to get out for some fishing on Lake St.Clair. Cheers Hi Mike, Great to meet you and thanks for the warm welcome. I'm always looking for new waters whether they are near or far so will certainly give you a shout if I'm out that way, many thanks for the offer. Colin.
Colin Marshall Posted May 9, 2011 Author Report Posted May 9, 2011 Hey Colin. Welcome to Canada and more specifically to Vaughan. Being a fellow resident, I can tell you that there many good lakes within a couple of hours drive or less offering a wide variety of species. There is good action in both the soft water and hard water seasons on Lake Simcoe which is less than an hour from you. Shoot me a PM if you want more details. Tony Hi Tony, Great to meet you and thanks for the nice welcome. I've been looking around over the weekend and took a look at the Grand River, found it very shallow and for the most part only good for fly fishing, also took a look at Lake Guelph which seems very promising, deep water close in so hopefully might get some fishing in there over the next few weeks if I can find out if it's worth it. Colin.
