brandon Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 I was out photographing waterfowl once again here in Windsor this afternoon. The ducks weren't flying that much and just as I was about to leave another opportunity came up. I've been to Lakeview Marina many times this winter and there's been Bald Eagles each time, 17 is the most I counted at once. However the eagles tend to stay either quite close to Peche Island or extremely high up in the sky making them impossible to shoot, well quality photos anyways. Things changed today when an immature Bald Eagle came quite close to the marina and eventually snagged a shad from the river. Below is the series of the eagle catching the shad as well as 2 other flight shots. These photos aren't very marketable due to the fact that the eagle was facing away from the camera when it caught the fish but it's still a pretty cool series of shots and I hope you enjoy them!
