lake Erie bass

Hi everyone! OFC noob here, I'm heading out to lake ERIE for some Canada day bass fishing. I usually put in at Long point, Im wondering if there is opportunity for some largemouth action in the bay? I'm taking my 7 year old nephew out and i don't want to go too far out. Any suggestions?

I used to have a cottage out on lake erie it was great fishing all day everyday except last year i dont know why but all i could reel in was sheep head and carp, there great games fish its just i would like to eat them

Same here ... Used to fish between Port Stanley, and Port Bruce, wheeling really nice fish ... last year, sheephead, and carp .. all day ...

 

although, the perch in lake erie this year are out of control ... 8 - 14" perch like its there job to eat your minnows....

thanks for the input guys, my nephew now says he wants to go perch fishing instead, so were going to try port burwell instead
