brandon Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 Hey Guys, I went to Ladner in search of some waterfowl to take photos of yesterday and came upon a large flock of Snow Geese. Last time I had some fun photographing them so I couldn't pass up another opportunity. The only problem with photographing them this time, was that they were flying in an area that had a few houses and telephone poles in the background. Personally, when it comes to photos, I think the background is just as important as the subject or foreground so these objects needed to be edited out. Man-made items weren't the only thing that needed to be removed from some photos. When photographing birds in large flocks your bound to get the odd wing, leg, or head poking into the frame. So just like the man-made stuff, these also need to go. Here are the original photos followed by the edited version just so you can see why type of editing goes into some of these photos... brandon Posted November 5, 2009 Author Report Posted November 5, 2009 It sure is bird poo. With the snow goose photos it's the most common thing I have to edit out....they crap like crazy while flying
