I work in the water biz . In the CITY (Toronto)The average household of 4 people uses on the average 70 gallons per person, so you will need about 300 gallons per day. 3000 gallons wouldn't last too long even if you conserve..

 

Thats more like it, Ive been told the average person burns 100 gallons a day. If I where you, I would do what ever it took to get a new well, its way better water, and a way better selling feature if you ever want to sell. I understand the cistron is cheaper but you have to get it filled when its empty, and its just not as good as your well. Just spend the extra money and get a well you wont regret it. Ive lived with both and I wouldnt go back to a cistron if you payed me, a good well is worth every penny.
