Oil painting oddness

Really like fishing the most but with down time in winter i tried some painting.

Have posted some photos of paintings here and received some encouragement in past.

So i tried painting more and came out with some weird abstract thing.

For those into the painting stuff, not sure what to make of this.

I think it's great. Reminds me of a Persian Carpet. You never know how something new will turn out but you have to follow whatever inspires you. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Pam, Good eye it kinda reminds me of a magic carpet as well.

Just was trying to put down strong colours, took me over 40 hours to paint it.

 

Tried a Van Gogh copy as well which took about an hour to do.

 

Thanks for further inspiration Pam! Outdoor related or fish paintings are my goal.
