ive seen those in europe 10 years ago, i think you get more tangles than with the spining reel, cause with this reel u dont use the "reel" you use your hands to pull the fish out, will take you too long to wind 30ft of line, no ratio in it.

right now the more popular ice rods are with bend bodies, dont know why, but i think because the guides are close to spining reel the bended rod body put your line better on spining reel, does that make sense, what you guys think?
