nmstepan Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 Does anyone have a report on the river height and clarity? I want to fish for chrome, but at the sametime don't want to waste the drive from Toronto if the river is unfishable. Thanks
Fisherman Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 Did you see any of the flood reports this week? That should give it away.
wallacio Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 If you aren't already aware of this site, be sure to bookmark it as it is an invaluable tool for any serious steelheader. http://scitech.pyr.ec.gc.ca/waterweb/formNav.asp Make note of the water level the next time you are fishing your favourite river and use it as a benchmark for future trips after a rain/melt event. As for the Notty, recently it was a full 3m above fishable levels and is still approx. 1m above ideal conditions.
