  1. Grant, tell the missus to let you out of that crib, it's not for grown-ups, and have her feed ya for god's sake!! It's making you gooify dude..

Plus I saw her first.. :whistling::canadian:

    Give it up Castrotti!

    She's mine!

  2. The only thing hotter than that chocolate is you.

    Conversely,

I hear you don't drill holes,

You just talk to the ice and it melts.

    In addition,

If I was a fish (and I'm glad I'm not)

I would hop into your lap.

    Groooooowl.

  3. Howdy Carole,

I know that this task took a lot of effort.

My aunt did the same thing for our family and it is exhausting!

She thought about it every day, tackled every remote lead and had to sift through hundreds of photos and letters!

Your family will appreciate your effort for generations as it becomes more difficult to get the documentation

    Great job Amiga' :clapping:

    Grantissimo

  4. I have Laridaphobia

If you don't know what it is, you soon will.

It all started when I was a wee lad.

First, they seemed friendly. (as seen here with my mom, happily feeding)

    med_gallery_82_84_82854.jpg

Then one day with my Dad, they turned on me

    med_gallery_82_84_14565.jpg

I've been consumed with fear ever since

    Don't laugh.

Other members here have the same Phobia. We have a support group.

Here's GCD when he was a lad. (circa 1932)

Here's CCMT when he was a young lad(?). Pigeons are his thing.

    med_gallery_82_84_12724.jpg

Carole says his night screams are brutal and she can't cook with breadcrumbs anymore.

    I understand Cliffy.

This is my nocturnal nightmare messenger from hell

    The Plan

So I look up some therapists in the phone book and find a radical Master who uses extreme techniques to conquer your worst fear by combining it with your greatest passion.

    Well obviously mine is fishing!

Under the guidance of my Master

I will strive to abolish this debilitating fear

First day of training involved a symbolic consumption of my Nemesis's spirit.

He made me eat them all.

    gallery_82_84_5601.jpg

Then it's off to the war zone.

I fell to my knees but got back up again determined to beat this thing

People need signs like this?? Wake up before it's too late.

    med_gallery_82_84_43300.jpg

Where are they? I asked the master

Master says to look for the fat ladies who chum the waters

    med_gallery_82_84_23069.jpg

Or the old ladies who will use children as bait (sickening)

    med_gallery_82_84_32309.jpg

But Master had a friend who was a conjurer or a Seagull Siren, if you will.

    FreakyFingersFreida

    med_gallery_82_84_21114.jpg

    She brought our Nemesis closer

Then out of the heavens or up from HELL they came!!

Master sees a flock of seagulls approaching!

    gallery_82_84_6953.jpg

Sorry wrong ones, here they are

    gallery_82_84_16262.jpg

Master quickly pulls out his rod,

    First cast and Master screams,

    "BIRD-ON!!"

    med_gallery_82_84_68879.jpg

It's putting up a fight but the Master pulls in his prey

    med_gallery_82_84_18850.jpg

    Closer, my precious

    med_gallery_82_84_26597.jpg

Master calms the winged beast with an ancient cross-handed-tiger-style grip.

    med_gallery_82_84_14413.jpg

He removes the bait like a Zen vet

    med_gallery_82_84_29784.jpg

He then reveals to the captive the tool of it's demise

    med_gallery_82_84_34569.jpg

Master is happy because he sees the fear in my eyes melt away

He has broken down my walls

    med_gallery_82_84_71265.jpg

Our prey has been warned and released to inform the others of their peril shall they decide to pursue us in the future.

    ONE YEAR LATER

    I am doing much better.

I got a tattoo to celebrate 1 year of fearlessness

    med_gallery_82_84_39252.jpg

I can read and fall asleep peacefully

    med_gallery_82_84_26410.jpg

In fact, here is a little gem I caught this year all by myself

    med_gallery_82_84_75137.jpg

Though, I am not quite as forgiving as my Master

    med_gallery_82_84_75833.jpg

    Conquer your fears.

    You can do it,

    Yes you can.

    S.
